    since these morons never have an answer i got you

    basically exposure. You have to regularly experience mild pain in that area.
    For example, a lot of kickboxers/nak muay/mma guys will kick bags, pads, and people over and over nearly daily to condition their shins. This has a dual effect, one being conditioning of the bone (along with running, skipping rope, s&c, etc) and the other purpose is to "deaden" the nerves.
    I dont know how accurate deadening the nerves is, as you will still experience sensation and pain, especially after adrenaline has worn off, but I think more likely what is happening is your brain is essentially getting used to the constant pain signals from always kicking shit. So when you do kick something it doesn't send as strong of a signal, or your brain just turns down the volume a bit. The shitty part is people have reported that after a long break of not kicking shit, the pain comes back again when they eventually get back into training.

    tldr you gotta just be tough. a lot of it is genetic, mindset, and being "used" to getting hit/hurt

    Back when I was a teenager I realized I had extremely low pain tolerance, I would cry just from falling down in my knees. So I decided to increase my pain tolerance, I just began punching myself and beating my head against walls for a few months. Result: pain tolerance increased to normal levels.

    you gotta build it man. starting pain 5x5. once i binned my dirt bike and squashed my middle finger between the handlebar and the brake lever. fricked the nail right up too was lifted off but still attached at the nail bed. I had to remove the nail where it was still attached to the bed with a scalpel. I kept pouring hydrogen peroxide over the wound to increase the overall pain so i couldn't feel the specific pain of the scalpel cutting my nail out. pain tolerance has been pretty fricking high since then.
