how to fill in your sides and become doorbrah

I want a physique like the left, not the right. I'm not sure if commiting tons of time to obliques and side stuff will fill these in or if it's genetic

My hips are fairly wide, but I have a noticeable concave taper around my waist

I used to have a very thin sides but muay thai really fixed that for me. I'm pretty sure boxing will have a similar effect.

Probably the twisting of the hips during the a kick. Boxing should do the same but probably not at all to the same effect as lifting a mass like your leg.

The difference between left and right pic is 99% genetics

    >I have a noticeable concave taper around my waist

Waist size seems to be mostly genetics. The best way to get a wider waste though would probably be with oblique and serratus work. Some ribcage expansion techniques also exist but I have no fricking idea if they actually work.

yeah ribcage expansion just sounds moronic like that incel leg lengthening stuff lol

chyea even if it doesnt widen me out i will do that anyway for strength

it's legit, but 95% of the results are if you look from the side, aka not what op asked

I've been interested in this for some time and never seen anyone pull it off. What did you do? Pullovers? High rep squats? What kind of routine?

          Anonymous

only pullovers, 3x10-20 3 times a week, but that's a bit excessive looking back
take a big breath into your chest and as you lower the dumbbell, lower your butt too for an even bigger stretch, pause 1-2 seconds at peak tension
I stopped after a while because it felt like I'm going to tear something in my abdomen (that probably means good results haha), will try to become more flexible and start over, also doing breathing squats this time

Actual answer: do any sport or (safe) lift that involves ROTATION.

Surfers, skateboarders, tennis players, divers, will all have thick as frick trunks because they all have to regularly control the rotation of their bodies as part of their sport.

If you just do squat, diddlies, OHP, bench and pullups your trunk isn't rotating at all. It stays in the same plane for the entire lift.

      This.

Do carries, rotation work, sand bag work and strongman lifts.

Train and become a competitive strongman, but in a normal weightclass. They have the closest physiques to what you want because of their style of training.

I filled out my core a lot over time. Part of it was rotational work. I was climbing very often for a while, a few hours a week and longer multi-day trips when I could find the time.

I also trained and directly a lot. Mostly ring/bar work. I do a lot of straight leg raises to inversion and wind shield wipers. Ankle weights can add to the challenge. One armed side planks with your feet off the ground, pressed against a wall are good. L sits and going into an L onions between skin the cats or rolling on rings. I put some time into learning to do levers and planches but never got one that wasn't somewhat tucked. I can sort of back lever straight.

Also lots of sled pushing and deads for my lower back. I was very into deads for a while, but eventually fricked my back enough times that I switched to just trap bar deads and split squats. Hadn't effected my core much though.

IDK, I did a lot. I was very into doing cleans and push press for a while too. I did martial arts too, but that tended to make me lose weight, or I'd intentionally cut.

I'd say focus on direct ab work, particularly rings.

I forgot cable crunches. These are pretty good. I normally start with leg raises, mixing in windshield wipers and in-and-outs to faliure, then drop down and bang out 20-30 cable crunches, dropping weight if I need to. I do 1-2 sets of this two times a week, but also do ring work at home for abs. That's pretty unstructured, I just flip between different levers, L sits, or inversion, tucking as needed.

      Anonymous

Rings make sense. Gymnasts have very thick cores for their size. Not quite what you're looking for, but they stay smaller on purpose, weight to power ratio and all.

  21. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

All of you are completely moronic. OP the sides size are based on your bones (waist and toraxic ribcage) IYou are stuck with the ratio you are born with.

Unless if you do some crazy surgery to change your bones size.

No time or amount of exercise will ever change that.

      Anonymous

This has some truth but is mostly bullshit. If you're born with a narrow waist you can still bulk up your core significantly. You can also have a narrow waist and narrow shoulders and just look like a beanpole. Whereas if you grew your lat delts, lats, and traps, you'd have a v taper.

The flip side is true too. If you look like pic related, it will be hard to get a very defined taper, especially if your lat inserts are low. However, even someone with hips this bad could still look good by growing the frick out of their yolk (traps, lats, delts) so that it gets wider relative to their hips. However, even this will still look weird, like an hourglass, unless you grow the shit out of your obliques and abs. Then you'll just look big all over.

He's leaner, but having obliques makes you look more like a greek statue world beating hydra wrestling chad and less like a homosexual with a needle problem.

        Anonymous

But isn't homosexual with a needle problem something women prefer? Do you think left with the bodyfat % of right (don't think there's too much difference tbh, 3-4%) would be more attractive to a heterosexual woman?

          Anonymous

Women don't care about men looking like they've worn a corset through their formative years, that's a gay thing I'm pretty sure. Women healthy want a wide upper body with developed muscles that are shown off through not excessive lanes leanness. Also glutes

Women used to be attracted to fat fricks with pot bellies back in the 1800s because being fat meant you were rich. They're attracted to your status, not you as a person. Stop caring about what these BPD holes care about

The physical attraction was never to fat fricks, but women weigh status alongside looks, unlike men who are mostly focused on looks.
