How to get strong upper body as a women

The thing is I wanna enlist in military after I finished college, but I’m worried that I can’t keep up very well because in the country where I live you either keep on track with the group or you can go home.
So I wanted to ask IST on how I can get a stronger upper body as a girl (I have a bit over 1 year preparation time)
Any advice is appreciated

SS has only like two movements for upper body, Bench Press and Shoulder Press which both are not even the best for upper body strength other than maybe shoulder press, chin ups, lateral raises, hammer curls and dips and there's more strength work for the upper body involved.

SS also lets you do chin-ups later on in the program

                > Doesn't tell you to.

Optional therefore discarded opinion since most people that follow SS only follow the strength portions and can't do a single pull up or a chin up because they are fat.

I don't see any issues with having even stronger legs.
Otherwise: chin-ups, pull-ups, dips, hanging leg raises, stuff you can do at a playground

Your probably right, they do marching a lot and you have to carry a lot when walking wich will go pretty bad on the legs

pushups and pullups every day, start with assisted versions and slowly work your way up to regular ones, several sets.
If it gets too easy do the harder versions (check on any calisthenics routine).

Next to strong legs, you also need a strong back. Starting Strength is perfect for that as it trains the entire body.
          >I have tried pull ups before but I couldn’t do them... but that was a while ago
Neither could I, but now I do chin-ups for sets of 3 at at 90kg bodyweight with about 15-20% bodyfat.

          >Also im not german
          Where are you from?
As someone who has been in the army, you need cardio and a strong lower back for marches. A strong core basically

How do I get stronger core?
          Also im from Austria

It took me a while to be able to do a pull-up but I can do several now. Do assisted ones and hangs.
Also with push ups just do more sets even if rep range is low to get in volume. Tbh my push ups just go up with bench, so rn I can do 35 but I rarely ever train push ups unless benches are totally packed at gym. Not sure why you think things work differently for women but we get stronger the same way men do, we just are weaker overall. Picrel from my last gym session

          I kneel...
How long did it took you to get such physics?

It's more than sufficient for military when you know what you're doing which you don't. I can give you a routine. There is even a jagdkommando routine only that doesn't have more than bodyweight stuff

            >Also any other good cardio trainings beside running?
dick hopes to failure, but in military you're marching. get commando boots and start hiking with a heavy backpack let's say 20kg

Don't forget to do "girl push up"s on your knees after you fail on your final set; it's the equivalent of doing "drop sets" with conventional weights. You might only be able to get a few reps out after failure at but it's worth it just to get a few more contractions in

Same way as a man does- bench press, deadlifts, military press, push ups, pull ups, dips, etc. Then after you work out you have to eat extra protein to build muscle. However, it will take you longer than a man because your body's physiology is different. If military is your goal then you better train with lots of cardio/running as well. You can do it.
