How to turn myself into literal supersoldier?

How to turn myself into literal supersoldier? Are excellence at weightlifting and some martial art enough for the goal, or there are some other training components to it?

Those would be last chance life of death though at that point. We are talking about disabling weapons form people, controlling them by a finger etc. Eye gouging and biting some dudes nuts are last chance tactics that anyone would do untrained.

                CecilDrakeInSeattle

Of course. You are not fighting, you are disabling.

You should never get to these points though, something goes wrong and you're dead.

Practice stopping people with knives for 20 years, and if someone pulls out a knife and asks for your money. Guess what you do? Give it to them.

No but it's secondary to their other training. If you reach a competitive level in a martial art you'll be able to beat any soldier that doesn't do extra voluntary training

Not op but the real super soldier is the baddest dude that can run a marathon huh? Overpower with mobility and a gun instead of muscle?

        CecilDrakeInSeattle

It's pretty much very unlikely soldiers ever get to the point of needing to fight up and close. I have done it myself, but it was more sneak and disable, not outright hand to hand fights.

Muscle and cardio are pretty irrelevant, People are disabled within a second or so. But of course having those things like running and good cardio are essential for everything else.

The movie "Nobody" is actually a good image of how the "super soldier" looks, and not Rambo.

What are the benefits over weight lifting?

        CecilDrakeInSeattle

Because you will run and climb when in the field. Doing this easily lifting your own weight is perfect.

Being able to "lift heavy things is pointless. Also excess muscle is a waste. Try observing in a little hole for 2 weeks in a hot desert and getting all that protein in.

I mean cardio for fights, they will end before you need that.

But cardio for running, climbing, swimming etc. of course it is more important. That's the cardio you should do. Not boxing.

        >in 1930 invented combat system for urban self defence
From what I can tell modern krav maga is so divorced from what was made in the 30's they're literally not even the same martial art anymore. The guy who made it just taught people the very basics of boxing and wrestling, but when he died all his students started adding in nonsense like fricking aikido and shit. Pushing it as a super duper deadly best fighting style in the world thing is just a combo of psyop and fanboyism.

People just need to get a basic understand of wrestling and boxing, but that doesn't sound as cool.

Let's say i want to take some martial art classes. How to tell if the training is bullshit (as it is quite often in case of bodybuilding) or if you really are taught to the point of competence?

        CecilDrakeInSeattle

You need to figure out who is training you. Some 25 year old who formerly had lessons for a year then no.

But even when you master basics you'll know if you're competent. learning fancy kicks in martial arts usually is show, but if you can control someone by their thumb, then you'll know.

I'm no soldier but in close quarters this is the priority: shoot gun, use bayonet, if gun lost use pistol, if pistol lose use knife, if knife lost then hand-to-hand.
Why would you be so concerned about hand-to-hand?

The easiest way to avoid going to a McDojo is to do a martial art that has a clear history of outcome based training where the intent is regular competition. For example: boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, judo, BJJ, MMA. To actually get good at fighting you have to be going out and physically fighting people.

Avoid anything that refuses to engage in sparing, competition, or is based around a lot of woo (aikido, kung fu, any "military martial art" like krav maga or MCMAP). If there is no active resistance to any technique EVER, then it's complete bullshit. If no one is ever actually trying to stop you from doing something to them, or if you're not supposed to try and stop someone from doing something to you, it's bullshit.

Being a super soldier is all about mentallity. Being able to push yourself forward day after day even though everything in your body is screaming against. There is no bar excericise, marathon or dl pissing contest out in the field. Good general fitness and a true mind of steel is what you need

Try going in to the mountains 3 day sleep depraved, scarce food supply in pissing rain with 35kg on your back. Then keep going for 2 weeks 18 hours a day

Some militaries allow journalists to document their special forces training. It's running, swimming, pushups, burpees, and mental willpower. They have to ruck to pass their training but rucking is not something you should do regularly since it's tough on your knees and back, just walk/run a lot.

  11. 12 months ago

    Do pic rel.

    You should be able to:
-Sprint for 1/4 to a half mile, rest for 2-3 minutes, sprint another 1/4 to half mile.

-Complete 10 minutes of heavy bag work with maximum power with each strike (Use polymerics training, NOT ENDURANCE!)

-Be able to pick up 275 lbs. to 300 lbs. off the ground and walk with it 50 yards.

-Run 2 miles in under 10 minutes.

-Do 50 pushups, 50 situps, 30 chin ups, 10 pullups all in under 10 minutes

-Be able to swim 50 meters in under 2 minutes (pretty easy)

-Be able to endure significant pain (try to deadhang for 2 minutes)

The shooting, driving, fighting, and situational awareness and survival skills will have to be taught or self-taught through means of books and practice
