      this.
      >don't do OMAD or you'll gain weight
OMAD is deranged so yes they probably will rebound like other stupid diets
      >you shouldn't exercise sore muscles
depends on how they got sore obviously
      >just eat the same amount of less calorie foods and you'll get big
for losing weight not getting big?
      >bodyweight exercises are valid replacement for gym
it's inferior but i guess 'valid'
      >free weights better than machines unless crowded gym
depends on the movement. dumbbell flys for instance are totally inferior to a machine fly

        >depends on how they got sore obviously
        What?
        >for losing weight not getting big?
I guess I should rephrase. Eat the same amount of less calorie foods and you'll lose weight and gain muscle.

          >What?
ok imagine you got mugged with a baseball bat and everything is sore do you go workout an hour later
          >I guess I should rephrase. Eat the same amount of less calorie foods and you'll lose weight and gain muscle.
          obviously not that's moronic.

being sore and being injured are different
make sure you are aware of the two

i have fricked up bad and gotten tennis elbow twice in the last year
you cant make gains if you are hurt i assure you

I'm aware of the two. It's a good warning but the post said specifically
        >you shouldn't exercise sore muscles
A muscle being sore doesn't matter unless it's chronically sore. Then you're not recovering enough. You can still train a sore muscle without a problem

Have you even seen the anime you literal mutt?
    >Don't OMAD or you'll gain weight
There's caloric information everywhere and they're by no means saying that. What they are saying however is that, calories equated, a single meal throughout the day MIGHT cause you issues with losing weight due to your insulin levels spiking. It's more of a hypothesis in the literature more than anything but it's cool that they've added that coz too many people think fasts are gonna get them skinny when they literally eat 5k calories immediately once their fast ends and actually end up gaining weight.
    >you shouldn't exercise sore muscles
Probably shouldn't because that's usually a sign they're still recovering from the last session and your performance will most likely be worse. Obviously you can get your body used to a certain training split via the repeated bout effect but that's more ur body adapting to working while not being recogered than anything.
    >same amount of less calorie foods = get big
I don't exactly remember that, so might look that up later but it sounds kind of questionable considering the protagonist is trying to lose weight, not be big.
    >Calisthenics and Gym are equal
Essentially, yes. Dips and Bench are the same. Pullups and Pulldowns are the same. Inverted Rows and T-Bar Rows are the same. The list continues.
    >Free weights > Machines
See, you could've started a cool discussion if it weren't for the fact that that was never stated. I suppose you're referencing the chest training episode where they need to use the chest press machine instead. The entire issue with using a chest press machine was that your picrel's personal autistic belief was that free weights are the only thing allowed to build a chest. This type of person does exist, I used to do nothing but bench for my chest after all. Never in the episode was it stated that free weights > machines.

    Omad is stupid
You should let sore muscles heal before hitting them again
    What?
Calisthenics is fine for gains for most people but works better with weights and machines
Machines are better than free weights for isolation. Free weights are better for compounds

We're talking specifically about the fitness advice given on it, though.

Danberu was made primarily to show off cute girls, the advice that came along with it was just something tacked on to go along and make the anime stand out a little. If you watched it with the main intention of learning fitness there are much more informative and time-saving resources to explore.

danberu was made to sneak bodybuilding into the moe market, should be pretty obvious if you look at sandrovich's other works. burly buff men appear in every single chapter of danberu; his only CGDCT manga

100% correct for 100% of beginner lifters
if you're fat you don't have the self-control to properly do OMAD
you'll just extend recovery time if it's your first time getting DOMS because you won't be pushing yourself properly
eating less calories will get you leaner if you're still exercising
calisthenicbrahs mog your entire family OP
free weights will always be more beneficial than machines

For all you dyels saying not to exercise sore muscles: you're wasting gains. Doing something light that increases blood flow to those healing muscles will carry a greater flow of growth factors to those areas.

The series OP brought up recommends exactly that.

Okay, I’m going to start by underlining something that I think should have been obvious about this show, but often gets missed by IST: This is a fitness anime ***for women.*** The characters are almost all women, with no real focus being placed on the machos/ gaining strength whatsoever. The exercises are sometimes performed with light items like water bottles, “heavy” books and chairs. A lot of the workouts attack muscle groups which are especially important ***for women.*** Think about Akemi as Sherlock, and Hibiki as Watson; Akemi explains the exercise science, and Hibiki explains why women should want to train this muscle group. And why should this dynamic exist between the characters? Because the anime, while enjoyed by men, is focusing on delivering fitness content ***to women.***

Now, with that out of the way... Yes, the information in the anime is top-tier, but some of the nutritional stuff is not as applicable to men who are advanced lifters. Men might actually want to gain weight, for instance, although there are certainly better ways to do it than OMAD binge-eating. Isometrics are certainly not the way to look like Machio, etc...

Yes, its a fitness anime that teaches women how to bench press.
I have literally never seen a single woman get on the bench press to do some reps.
