      I think you have to find poses that work well with your body. I've got decent lats so anything that shows off that works well. Gutsanon has a wide chest and good front delts so he shows those off.

    programming. Most of them used spin offs of the same general routine which was light weight consecutive day rep max kind of stuff for a month. Followed by a week or two rest then a month lifting genuinely heavy weights. You can see this kind of holds true today as well in terms of programming for long term growth > day to day routine. A lot of them also started a lot younger.

    Even today most people who use a periodization program of some kind are going to be so much bigger than people who just lift until they plateau, deload, repeat same mistakes ad infinium. It's just a matter of your body can't support constant growth on a long timeframe.
