looks like something females would do then brag about being better than men at, I'm not doing that shit chief
It's the L-sit
Naaah, miss me with that shit
W-sits only
Try the V-sit, see if you can smell your toes
Females would have an advantage from being lighter and having slightly more flexible hamstrings naturally, but males would develop the ab and hip flexor strength more quickly.
Females are devoid of upper body strength. Most couldn't do a single one
>What's your excuse, IST?
I don't even know the name of this exercise.
IST gets mad at calisthenics because its harder than lifting weights
I used to do these along with v-sits and then go into handstand and back down again very slow and controlled, feet never touching the ground. But this was back when I was 125lb soaking wet skinny gymnast mode. I wouldn't say this is a feat of any sort of strength. Its more skill than anything
I would argue the opposite, it's a pure strength feat, either you are strong enough to lift your ass or you are not, skill feats are things like handstand that require balance
I mean, I can still do the L-sit even after I just got done with my workout. I can't do the v-sit anymore. I can also still go from L sit to handstand without touching the ground very easily.
I would definitely say this is more skill based since I am now 165lbs but much stronger than my 125lb self. Also you can trade off balance with strength if you bend your elbows a bit during a handstand if you can't balance it right
I think it's more like highly specific strength, because most people don't train their rectus femoris and abs in such a shortened position they're initially very weak, but this improves really fast. It's not a skill because it's not very technical, just the qualities you need to do it are very undeveloped in most people. Also obviously if you weigh more it's a lot harder, especially for all the squat enjoyers on IST who have really heavy legs.
Actually yes, L sit isn't that hard. I kept thinking about my routine of going from L to V sit back to L and then to handstand and back down to L.
I can still do L to handstand down to L but I also powerlift + weighted calisthenics. So that is why I thought this was more skill based since I was surprised I can still do this
Post it then.
>inb4 noo i was a gymnast and never recorded anything
You are just a larper, suck my dick.
how the frick do you do this without your lower back rounding?
Im
this anon.
I used to just do it on my inner knuckles. Doing it flat palm never felt right to me
my arms are too short
Do it on your knuckles or use parallettes
These are my favorite threads on IST lately
Thumbnail looks like a tutorial on how to suck your own penis (I am so alone)
well don't leave us hanging samuel self-suck, were you successful?
My arms are short to do this from the floor. I can do it on a bench though.
