You're anxious anon. Meditation, a high protein diet low in bullshit foods, don't skip breakfast, get off of social media and image boards, and try to spend time with happy, optimistic people more often. Anxiety clears right up and life starts feeling way better.

Still deal with this, it was super fricking bad as a teenager, all my tests and assignments are damp and wet.

Honestly, it's just something you gotta mitigate by staying calm so you don't get into a spiral of freaking out, sweating more, and freaking out even more.

Luckily I got a GF who doesn't mind, but yeah there is no easy fix anon sorry.

I've had hyperhidrosis for many years now.
I started intermittent fasting back in July, magically after a week it started to be less of a problem.
Now it's almost gone, might be antidotal evidence anon, but I think it works.

Dealt with it all my life. After 25 you become too old and jaded to care. Still got a hot wife and a great natty physique so frick it. Can't have it all brah

35 here, I have hyperhydrosis since childhood. Not on the palm but everywhere. If anything even a slightiest uncomfortable of warmer my face and arms instantly wet. Try to look confident with sweatsoaked face. Only thing that helps a bit if I not drink the water but eat in fruits

Hyperhidrosis here as well. I'm 32, chest and back soaked whenever I start sweating. It takes nothing to make me sweat either. I can only wear polyester t-shirts because of this.

    Absolute hell.

      >I can only wear polyester t-shirts because of this.
That's the last thing I wanna wear. Feels fricking disgusting to have that salty water trapped between you and a non-absorbing fabric and it stinks like a MOTHERFRICKER

    >does anybody else here have this?
    Used to (armpits).
    >how do you deal with it?
I used to use driclor/anhydrol forte, which worked really well. Hyperhidrosis is no longer an issue since I started taking propranolol though, I guess it was just situational anxiety.

Fricking hell man, I wish I had half of my current knowledge as a kid. I can't tell you how insecure hyperhidrosis made me...

See a dermatologist about getting Glycopyrrolate, shit changed my life.
My hands still sweat but its reduced to such a degree that I can ignore it 90% of the time.

I'd be curious to see how this treats hyperhidrosis; I can see it is prescribed for it, but surely it should do the opposite.

I was told its for ulcers, but a side effect is reduced sweating.
It works better than I expected, like I said I still sweat but not to the degree I did, I was wearing gloves for everything, now I only need them for fine/meticulous work.
I went from sweating profusely in NY winters to barely sweating in FL summers.

Yeah, seems like a black hole in the literature currently.

It's weird because beta blockers treated my hyperhidrosis, and this works for a lot of people; I understand the mechanism here, and it's sort of (not quite, but pretty much) the opposite of glycopyrronium. Paradoxically, beta blockers can also CAUSE hyperhidrosis in some people, which I don't understand.

Meanwhile, glycopyrronium bromide actually blocks parasympathetic activity - surely this should cause you to sweat more, but it seems to have the opposite effect, at least topically

Might be a research angle; it's a relatively new treatment (FDA approved in 2018).

I tried that. I was told by my doctor that Glycopyrrolate is supersrs shit. Like, only people with SERIOUS health issues use that, and I would have to inject it.

He was probably thinking of its use in COPD treatment.

Your doctor might have brain damage, I take half a 2mg pill every day with no noticeable side effects besides thirst.

Good luck anon, I know how hard hyperhidrosis sucks, if I had gotten treatment as a kid my entire life would be different.
A bit of advice if you get it prescribed, I had cotton mouth for a few weeks after starting it because the dosage was either too high or theres an adjustment period, I used those saliva generating lozenges you can find at pharmacies to power through it, now I have no issues, im just thirsty more often.

I had this device lend by my medical center for a study as a kid. It didn't help as far as I remember, and getting my hands micro-electrified was uncomfortable as hell and even painful. Can someone provide actual info on this machine?

I’m 32, had this my entire life on the hands and feet. Used to be cripplingly embarrassed by it. Couldn’t high five, couldn’t hold hands, couldn’t associate on a level of casual physical contact that permeates early life all that shit.

Around college I got a girlfriend who didn’t give a shit AT ALL. By the time I was maybe 23 or so I didn’t give a shit either. Its not a big deal. Just say, “my hands are sweaty as frick” and people can take it or leave it.

Just embrace the fact that you have this goofy problem and adjust accordingly. Use it to screen people. Become funnier and more interesting and figure out how to use your issue to sympathize with others.

A friend of mine specifically asked me to shake the bride's hand when he was married. I didn't know his girlfriend took it personally when I refused to shake her hands first time meeting her because of my hyperhidrosis and I didn't explain to her why I refused.

I think have this with armpits, feet and maybe head. Like my feet seem to be ALWAYS FRICKING WET FFS

And my armpits would clearly just START FRICKING LEAKING when it's FREEZING COLD which is extra fricking horrible. And it's like I just naturally repel the antiperspirant which feels like it does EXACTLY FRICKING NOTHING
    Shit is irritating
