Hypothetically, what would happen if I only trained chest, shoulders and back? Something like

>benchpress and/or DB press or cable flyes
>DB OHP
>pullups

Two or three times a week?
I know I'd be imbalanced but would I be able to progress in those areas until I achieve a decent body (meaning ottermode or athletic)?

>inb4 "Why not do a normal routine?"
I'm very lazy and I know I wouldn't follow consistently anything more complex or that requires more time. Doing 50% is better than doing 0%.

>"Nooo you need to squat!"
Don't wanna.

you would progress those areas. If you trained them right. Wild huh?

But some people say that if you don't train your whole body then you plateau very easily in the areas you do train.

      Is that true?

        >Nooo i dont want to squat

I dont see arm wrestlers not getting sick fricking arms from only training arms. i dont see derek not getting sick shoulders while skipping leg day. I see lots of calisthenic bros with sick backs that only do pull ups and skip legs etc and so on. Kys

          This guy says otherwise:

And he's not the only one. Hence my worry.

Do you take special classes, anon? All that's gonna happen is you looking like an idiot with a dorito torso and legs like a toddler.

      literally most normies do this
i've seen plenty of people with decent chest, arms, and shoulders but their backs and legs are pitiful.
Most people probably won't notice as long as you don't wear 5 inch shorts
you're not a bodybuilder so don't act as one

Goddammit you keep giving conflicting advice.

Most ppl who lift will notice, its very easy to tell if you dont train legs. I agree though most normies barely train legs/back

But some people say that if you don't train your whole body then you plateau very easily in the areas you do train.

      Is that true?

depends on what lifts you doing but i think that statement applies to the big lifts (bench, squat, dead, OHP) cause their is a lot of overlapping muscle groups

      >Nooo i dont want to squat

most arm wrestlers are former bodybuilders/powerlifters, i doubt any just train arms

I think I can keep doing it if the routine doesn't take too much time. It's fine if it's intense, but if it takes too much I'm gonna start dreading it and stop entirely.

by most people i meant normies.
I know a guy at work who also lifts, but he isn't a bodybuilder because he's perusing modeling.
Very lean, 6'2 170lbs. Decent arms, chest, and shoulders. Pitiful legs and back, but i've never seen him wear shorts.
His legs and back aren't obvious to others. Meanwhile I walk around in 5 inch shorts that get swallowed up by my thighs.

Kek. The cope. You spent years squatting like a homosexual to get what I get with 1/50th of the effort simply by biking a bit once a week. Women are moronic, just a bit of definition is enough for them to go all "wow ur buff". I've had multiple women feel my legs too.

There are many minimalistic routines that will not make you look like a one piece villain, GZCLP comes to my mind
