Congrats for wasting 3x the time a smart individual would've spent to get your same results (or better)...?

      Weird flex.

after spending a year and a half doing Stronglifts and another year doing PPL i am giving up the complex and time consuming routines and going for something like this. feelsgoodman

Based. Welcome on the smart side.

What? Go to the gym, do one exercise, and go home?
Why would I want to spend less time in the gym and more time in my room doing nothing? I'll keep my 1.5 hour gym sessions, thanks

No. It's buy a home gym, save a lot of money after the first few months, lift whenever the frick you want (without needing to take the car and consume gas and without having to interact with rude or pajeet gymgoers).

      >more time in my room doing nothing?
That's your problem. We're not all devoid of stuff to do, to study, to create, etc. Don't brag about your worthlessness.

You do you, little buddy. I'll keep hopping on the bench in my bedroom whenever I want, lift efficiently, be done in 20 minutes and get the same results you're getting while wasting 2-3 hours total (counting the trip to and from the gym).

I have literature from sports and nutrion scientists at home.

              >"rather than scientific studies, I prefer to just look at the half naked body of a stranger on the internet and trust his word".
but even worse, as those pictures were made of people not following the routine that is shilled with them.
So I need the, clearly anecdotal, exaple of a person that really follows this routine.
As it is science based as you claim, it should be a significant amount of well-read lifters, that do so, and someone should have the balls to post his pic with a timestamp.
Otherwise I assume that no one, even less with a respectable physique, is following this program.

              >I have literature from sports and nutrion scientists at home.

Looks really interesting. Could you post body w/ timestamp for a refernce, please? It's funnier if he doesn't. The seethe is off the charts.

We all know minimalism works btw, we knew it even before le epic science proved it, look up Dorian Yates. The dude did something like 5 sets per muscle per week.

        Anonymous

I want to be educated, not amused. Could any follower of such a minimalist routine please post body /w a timestamp, so I can reevaluate my current workout regime?

          Anonymous

          >I want to be educated
The video in the OP examines several relevant studies on the subject and the conclusion is that a minimalistic approach works, in the sense that just 10 sets per muscle group per week are going to give you 90% of the same results of 30-50 sets, so high volume is mostly a waste of time. Also, it greatly increases the risk of injury and recovery time.

I'd say this is more educational than a picture that wouldn't tell you if the person's diet is on point or not, how long they've actually been lifting, and if they've actually been following a certain program.

Thanks, but thats not what I have asked for. Youtube personalities dont have scientific authority in my eyes, and I dont have the time to work me through the cited sources. I just need a body shot with timestamp.

Studies don't lose their validity when they're examined by a "youtube personality". Your approach is downright stupid.

Minimal routines are fine for maintaining size and strength once you have it (or if you're like me and have overuse injuries that need room to heal) but they won't take a dyel to a ISTizen. And also your picrel is missing hinges and loaded carries- and not one of those bodies benches a respectable amount. Better to do:
    >OHP + Dips
    >Pull-Up + Curls
    >Squat + RDL
    >Farmer's Walk once or twice a week when you feel like it
If you want a minimal path to a balanced physique.
Or (and this is probably the best way to do it) run a program like Dan John's easy strength for the few weeks it takes you to get bored of minimal training. At least you'll have bigger numbers to show for it at the end instead of the same old infographic and no body to back it up.

Lol there have also been studies that show 30 sets to give you 1/3rd more of gains than 20! as a trained athlete. If you wanna get anywhere with your physique you HAVE to increase the volume. You can't train with the same volume as a beginner.
