I literally cannot afford to be strong because bulking and protein is so expensive

I find it hilarious Americans have no clue how cheap food is because they order goyslop for every meal kek. You homosexuals truly are doomed

        Quality food here is expensive
I pay 12 dollars a gallon for milk

Stop buying into the "grass fed free range" meme, they all come from the same cows. They are all hormoned up to produce more milk. Until laws change that prevent the use of hormones or they become super expensive it's all the same.
Also you're stupid because everything else I listed is dirt cheap but your lazy American brain is fixated on the one thing that doesn't need any preparation

that's weak for 1 year i think. start training strength if you wanna be strong and eat. you have shit genes probably. or just become femboy or something

Rate me, I'm similar to the other guy
            10 months ohp/bp/squat/dl for 5: 60kg/85kg/120/127.5. I'm 84kg at 188cm

              Anonymous

i won't rate you but you can compare with me as i am the same height. was 83kg untrained. currently 90kg no more than 15%bf. did 1 year calisthenics then switched to gym 4.5 months gym
              OHP: 85kg 1rm
bench: not tested. but i do 90kg close grip for 5ish reps after 5 sets of OHP and no spotter (have only tested weighted dip +80kg 1rm but that was pretty long ago so not up to date)
squat: 150 1rm (untested) also no spotter so i never max out
              dl: 185kg 1rm (untested)
              bonus - pullups +55kg 1rm

i do strength sets but have started adding more hypertrophy for legs cus they still feel a bit small and i like to skip leg day sometimes. i didn't track diet for the first 1 year. but now i try to get ~150g or more protein. eat to satiation but feel like i have to also start tracking total calories because my body doesn't wanna hold more than 90kg it feels like and i wanna still grow

I'm more or less aestheticly pleased with my body, but I'm weak as shit, especially my dl is horrible and makes me wonder what's up with my back. My squat was also better, but my hips started hurting and now I'm off squats. 90kg at 15% bf is pretty much my goal

i look dyel in a shirt. i think at 188(6'2") getting to 100kg would be achievable in the long run and you can actually look non-dyel. that's my long term goal. but bulking is hard

                Anonymous

Yeah, I too can see myself someday getting up to 100kg at a good bf%, especially considering how I don't see 18% as too high, it's actually alright for me and I don't like taking pictures for socials which is pretty much the only reason why people seem to get shredded. But currently making baby steps, taking my time and such, so 90kg and 15%bf is the goal, though I'm more into getting stronger at the moment, to such extent that I'm starting to bulk again even though I'm in a 15-18%bf territory. I don't have troubles cutting, but staying weak is just unfulfilling, so I'll cut later

do strength sets for upper body and hypertrophy for lower and skip legs sometimes and the journey will be comfy af. also i really hate training legs. fricking despise back squats so i've started doing meme lifts like zerchers because it makes leg day more fun to do

I used to like squats, but noe they just hurt and doctors don't know ehat the problem is, so I stopped squatting and am planning to get back into it. Atm I really want to get my dl up to 3pl8s which a lot of people claim to pull on their 1 session lol, I'm somewhat behind; and also my bench up to 2pl8s at least for a solid 1rm

                Anonymous

i actually pulled 3plates on dl the first time lol probably with snap city form but yeah. and yeah there's no replacing backsquat so i still begrudgingly do them. but having no safeties and spotter (i couldn't ever trust some guy with this shit tbh) is really life denying.

I think I will try do this because I get bad pain in quads during squats recently (no DOMS though). Might try deload down to 85% and do 6-8 reps instead of 5

                Anonymous

if you deload to 15rm you don't even have to brace i find. and it will give you good hypertrophy. at 10rm to me it feels like i still need to brace properly and makes the lift feel worse because you're both bracing and "cardio" it's the worst of both worlds for me. either do 5 for strength or 15 for hypertrophy

            Anonymous

Yeah I’ve started 3 sets of five on a lot of the lifts, even some such as bicep curls, high pulls and stuff like that

Is there any point in lifting then if I have shit genes anyways?

              Anonymous

aparently aphadestiny and natural hypertrophy both claim to have had shit genes and are pretty good now. but who knows if it's worth it. i think positive reinforcements make lifting feel good. hitting PRs and mogging makes lifting feel godly and plateaus feel really shitty (negative reinforcement). you'd have to try and decide for yourself at the end of the day.
