I could use some motivation, as a 290 pound dude. Did anyone go from my level down to like drop 80-100 lbs?

Went from 290 to 230 while trading out a good amount of fat for muscle. 6’3 with a good frame. I have a good physique by normie standards (actually just ok.)
People treat you better, you look better, and you feel better. No reason not to. The only regret is not doing it sooner.

No where near 290 but i dropped about 50lbs between these pics. Definitely gained some muscle at the same time. Just start lifting, eating at a deficit and trust the process.

You should smile, even if it looks goofy or shows wrinkles. You'd probably be like 2-3 points more handsome (no homo).

Motivation isn't going to help you. Gain discipline.

At my heaviest I was 260 and dropped down to 170 over the course of three years. The biggest change is your confidence. You know you look better, and people feed off of that. Women showed more interest in me, even though most of my childhood I was conditioned to understand that I was the fat quiet kid. Besides the vain social differences, you feel better. You don't feel sluggish which means you have more energy to do things. One big change was my emotions don't fluctuate as much when I was fat, but that also might have been due to going through teenage angst.

I was 278 at my heaviest, i'm 6'0. I was 194lbs this morning so 84 lbs lost from my heaviest lardass self.

Life is so much better in a multitude of ways, but I will focus on the 2 strongest and most important reasons.

Number 1, people treat you completely different. There's an inherent respect that comes with being decently in shape. People are nicer, they smile more at you, they are more willing to engage in conversation. This goes for both strangers and people you know personally. I always felt a level of contempt from strangers when I was a fatass, sure, it's subtle but it's there and it sucks. On the side of people you know personally it changes a lot too. People you know who are active are much more likely to invite you to do active stuff with them. There was also a good amount of mockery from friends and well known people, almost as if they found it hard to take me serious when I was obese. Not so anymore.

The even more important side of it is your feeling about yourself. Even if someone does treat me like I explained above. I don't give a frick anymore, I proved what I needed to prove to myself, and I do it again every day when I excercise and diet. Once you gain the discipline to master your body, the discipline to master your mind becomes easy. I feel in control now, when I was slamming twinkies the last thing I felt was "being in control".

So yes OP, life improves and changes greatly. I could talk about many other things, but I think those are sufficient. Without knowing you personally I can't advise how to get to where you need to be, I can only promise that the destination is incredibly worth it.

I thought you said drop TO 80-100 lbs and was about call you a moron
but I was never sizable, I dropped from 210 to 160 just by working out, stopped eating like shit and most importantly
    >heavily reducing booze

if you do good stuff consistently, you will see results. easy as that.

I went from 320 to 192 and back up to 230 over 8 years. Life is incalculably better in every way

35 yo, 272 lbs, 6'3", 33%+ body fat at the start.

Down to 184.5 as of mid-April, 15-16% body fat, 36 yo. Going to 180. Had a rough week eating-wise last week though, so ended up not having any deficit (no surplus though at least).

I was actually probably 290-300 at my heaviest during the pandemic, but when I really started trying to lose weight I was back down to ~270.

As far as how my life changed or improved, I just feel better about myself, more confident, and feel better in general. Other than that it hasn't changed a ton, but I don't get out much and I'm still working on some other shit, so that's on me. Just working on getting healthier in general, not just weight-wise.

I do get some mires now, but probably less than I might otherwise because of my standard facial expression (always look pissed off, I'm working on it).

Really though losing the weight and getting more fit is worth it in and of itself. No reason not to do it.

kek no, like I said I don't get out much. Honestly can't fricking afford a gf right now. Bought my first house last spring and I'm just barely scraping by. Not like I would throw money at anyone, but dating does cost some money. Hoping to be in a more comfortable position later this year.

wtf shits sus af niggy what dosage you on lmfao

I'm natty af. Only things I take is psyllium husks for pooping and methocarbamol (muscle relaxer) and meloxicam (NSAID) for my fricked up lower back from the military.

Was still pretty pudgy at that time. 222 lbs, 23% body fat. I guess with muscle mass 23% might not look too bad, but I didn't have any, so it looked like shit on me. Still, think should at least aim for sub 20% body fat. Personally I'd like to stay around 15%.

I was 300 lbs/136 kg at my heaviest. I fricking hated eating junk food, but just could not quit, until I started listening Easyway audiobooks and had that *click* in my mind that made it easy to finally quit binge eating.

In 2 years the weight just dropped off by itself. I ate my new favorite foods as much as I wanted (mostly plant based foods like watermelon, rice, vegetables, avocados, real potatoes..) and always felt satisfied, happy and light afterwards. Nowadays I fricking love to cook and exercising became fun again.

Having a six pack again is nice, but the best reward is never having to feel that awful, bloated and absolutely miserable feeling after each meal time ever again.

Forgot to say that I am now 176 lbs/86 kg and lost 125 lbs /56 kg. I bought a crosstrainer for the icy winter months, but most of my weight loss I attribute to just quitting junk food cold turkey and what I did in the kitchen.

I did. Lost around 80-100 lbs (weigh 180 lbs currently).

At my fattest I weighed in at 333lbs, that was last May. Today I weigh in at 250lbs. The improvements to my life are immense, and really just the accumulation of small, but noticeable changes. Your clothes will feel better, you will be more aware of your body, you will be able to sit more comfortably, sleep more comfortably, move more comfortably. People will treat you better. The face gains are incredible, you will see your jaw and Adam's apple more clearly defined. The food you eat will taste better, especially the more you avoid slop. Fitness is the gift you give yourself, and what a gift it is. Loose the weight, it is worth all the hunger you will suffer. It is not until you loose the weight that you realize that the suffering of being fat is worse than the hunger.

Went from 310 to 210 last year. Literally everything improved, summer became more bearable, how huge my dick is became more noticeable, joint pain massively decreased or completely went away, chicks in public give me mires, I'm less depressed and not just due to body inage being fat literally fricks with your brain chemistry, people respect my opinjon more there really is an asterisk when someone fat says something.

I'm not even skinny yet, I'm just below American average for my age is all. And no, this ain't all placebo effect, I know this on account of the fact that I was bedridden for the last few months of last year due to a surgery I had to have done and I put back on about 15lbs of the weight and all these things slowly started mildly coming back. Now I'm slow floating down again cause I don't wanna do a rapid cut and lose muscle I've built and I feel better as it goes.
