Doesn't have to be a lying leg curl, could do seated. But if you're not doing any type of leg curling exercise I'd say you're leaving like half your hamstring gains on the table

Yes, with the added benefit of working your posterior chain as well

No. The other two replies dont lift or stuffed their faces and pulled sumo for a short period and consider themselves experts now. The hamstring needs knee flexion and hip extension to be fully trained. Hinges, like RDL are hip extension, leg curls are knee flexion. One of the muscles in the hamstrings is totally inactive during RDLs so you need a leg curl to train it. Plenty of people who didnt do leg curls but did plenty of hinges had lacking hamstrings

I don't do any legs at the gym because I run 10km every day

So, you have tiny chicken legs, because running doesn't do shit to build thigh mass, only sprinting can do that.
Sorry to hear about your disease, anon.

How to get a full leg work out with nothing but a barbell/curl bar? I'm pretty much just doing squats and calf raises and running up and down stairs right now.

Same, my gym is entirely free weights and one shitty cable stack. I can do deads, squats, hip thrusts and split squats but ain't got no leg curl/extension or abduction/adduction machines. They don't have ankle straps and also I'm not a gym thot so I'm not doing that cable kickback bullshit.

Not sure how to train the hammies/glutes more besides doing more hip thrusts and RDLs.

I found in another thread that leg hyper extensions and Nordic curls would be good to work in. I keep seeing good morning as a good hamstring workout. Lunges would probably be another good leg exercise.

You actually run the risk of fricking your knees by creating an imbalance in your quad to hamstring strength ratio

Did the standing version and partially tore my hamstring

This is one of the machines I've always been able to max out for no reason. This, the calf extension, and the tricep push down.

im far too obese to lie on my stomach and use the lying hamstring machine and i dont want the sodomites and prostitutes to look at my arse. my gym has a sitting machine but i find it uncomfortable trying to contract a muscle im sitting on. thanks to God there is a standing hamstring machine which is really good, feels like youre doing dumbbell curls with your legs

Study with people only using one leg for the seated leg curl vs their other leg for the lying leg curl showed the seated leg curl was WAY better for muscle growth.
