I don't trust people

>Hey man, do you have time spotting for me?
>Sure.
>ACK

Imagine trusting some random stranger to be your spotter...

Train with a rack that has spotter arms. They will NEVER fail you.

I always look for people who reasonably look like they know what they are doing and I never had trouble with foreign spotters

it's even funnier because these things are built to hold the momentum of 5+ plates (at least if you buy actually heavy duty brands, rather than chink trash)
but people prefer to trust the weak arms of somebody who struggles to 2pl8 bench for controlled reps, and they expect these guys to CATCH the momentum of a falling barbell
I just can't tell what the hell is going on in the mind of these npcs who ignores rack spotter arms

Yeah. Spotter arms are superior to any human. Also people are buttholes and moronic. What if someone doesn't pay attention? You're fricked. What if someone doesn't like your face and drops the barbell "accidentally"? You're fricked.
You have to be moronic to put your health into the hands of some stranger.

      >CATCH the momentum of a falling barbell
What the frick? I've never had a bar just free fall when I'm failing to do a rep, do your muscle just fail like an on/off switch?

Right... I've literally never seen anyone's muscle just turn off when they fail a rep and I'm pretty sure you're moronic.

As i said, you never lifted heavy and until failure. Else you would know how important heavy duty spotter arms are.

I'm not saying sporter arms aren't important, you fricking pea brain.

Just because it could technically catch such momentums, doesn't mean this anon [...] implied he drops his barbell like that, you moron.

Let him speak for himself frickface, all his posts so far are implying he just lets his barbell freefall when he fails a rep which is fricking moronic.

Honestly there's no reason to lift heavy.

I work out in a commercial gym and everytime I ask someone to spot me on the bench they get judgemental because I use heavier weights and train for strength. It's so fricking annoying. There aren't any safeties in my gym either. I couldn't find any powerlifting gyms or whatever in my city so I am doomed.

If you actually want a human to spot you during squat, your best bet is two humans. One on each side. It's easier to help if you need it, and you don't have someone standing behind you with a boner.

      t. coping with the fact he wasted his money buying a 2x more expensive full rack, when a half rack would suffice and take much less space
they're all the same shit, stupid ape
only straps have a very slightly advantage of moving the barbell less
but you're a dyel, and you're very far away from lifting heavy enough for it to be useful

Where a person spotting is superior is getting the bar back on to the hooks. It's a pain to unload the plates to do that if you have more sets.
