    Count calories
    Use MyFitnessPal
Don’t try to go on an extreme diet, accept that it will take time
    Don’t binge, homosexual

Eating at a small deficit isn’t that hard. You can also get a headstart by drinking diet soda, plenty of it tastes good now. Water would be better but diet will still be a huge calorie drop for many people without affected how full they feel

      >Eating at a small deficit isn’t that hard.

Yes it is, that's like telling a heroin addict to "just do a little of it, it's easy"

If fat people could easily eat less than they spend there would be no fat people

First step is to add a lot of nutritious, low calorie foods to your diet (like green, fresh vegetables). You won't get fat from eating lettuce. Most people overeat because their brain needs nutrition but they're feeding it sugar and fat which never keeps them satisfied

After feeding your body good stuff, next step is to drop the bad stuff - reduce the sugar and junk food intake every day eating less than before untill you only eat healthy

That alone should make a change but if you want to continue dropping pounds move to fasting or OMAD in order to finally break the unhealthy food addiction

It's incredibly hard but it's the only way to actually end the psychological addiction and use food as healthy fuel instead of cheap, unhealthy source of dopamine.

If you're the person who isn't using food as cheap source of dopamine you can easily lose weight by running a small deficit but this thread is not for you.

        No it fricking isn’t
I said a small deficit, just have one less fricking taco or whatever. Most people’s problem is just that they aren’t keeping track and just think they need to vaugely “eat less” with no idea how much less or where the line is and no structure

You don't need to "just eat less" if you're eating properly. Most new carnivores are told to eat more, since they're so indoctrinated in the malnourishment diet(cico).

Add foods to your daily diet that are low caloric density. That means that they give you very few calories for what they return in fullness. For example, if with every meal you have like 10 slices of cantaloupe or something, they're like 2 calories per chunk but they'll fill you up. Same with most soups, lean meats, etc. If you have to eat carbs I find many noodle dishes are actually lower density than breads and rice. Fill yourself up without consuming 10 billion calories. That's the name of the game.

It's possible that you are in a stressful situation (job, living environment, overtraining, relationship issues, financial issues etc.)
I suggest you reduce your fat intake and drink lots of low fat milk and OJ. In the meantime, try to find the source of the stress that is causing the over-eating and eliminate it.

      OJ? Are you kidding me?

        Anonymous

Why would I be? It has sugar which boosts metabolism, it's easy to digest because it has no fiber (meaning you can feel light on your feet and have energy to do shit), it has lots of nutrients, it's cheap.
It also is low in fat, which is what you want when you are trying to lose FAT (not weight, anyone can lose weight by starving and end up with less fat, muscle and bone density).
OJ and low fat milk are diet foods.

It is true. The confusion comes from keto moronation which uses “sugar” to refer to too many things which leads to nonsense terms like “net carbs”. Naturally occurring sugars boost metabolism

    Protein + vegetables

Start literally every meal with some veggies, a small salad, whatever. You can roast a bunch in a huge batch and just eat them before every meal.

Eat a ton of protein, lean chicken, turkey, egg/eggwhites, skim greek yog, etc. Set a very high prot goal and hit it.

Literally those two steps turned me from an always-eating fatty into a lean guy.

If you're stupid, just try your best to do keto. You don't have to think, you'll be filled way faster eating higher protein foods, and anything that has carbs always has like 1000 calories per picogram.

If you want to be healthy and not just fat, use myfitnesspal, track your macros properly, make sure you get all your micronutrients in everyday.

Also you have to do resistance training while cutting and get enough protein, or you WILL lose fat and muscle.

What works for me is reduce feedings, chew slower, and don't go in the kitchen.
Once you can do that then keep going. I like having water when I get "hungry" and having a time limit of how long the hunger impulse occurs.
If the hunger is the same 30 minutes or 40 minutes later I eat the smallest amount of food I can to not feel hungry.

This is an extreme measure but it worked for me.

Former 350 pound megafatty here. Eat really high volume foods and it makes the process so much easier. Soups and salads are two good ones that can be relied on. Protein ice cream and sugar free marshmellows are also good for killing a sweet tooth while having no calories. I'd also recommend making farmers cheese out of fat free yogurt. The texture is almost like a dry cream cheese and it's mostly protein while being stupid filling and volumous compared to other cheeses. Very versatile too. I also eat a lot of stuffed peppers because they fill you up like crazy for very few calories. Then there's the classic of loading up on fruit and vegetables with lean protein

More fiber and more protein helps you feel fuller. Also what you eat matters a lot. I eat a lot of cabbage and it has been working for me. A diet feels a lot easier when your stomach is full.

Saturated fats are more filling and far more nutritious. Turns out that because humans aren't ruminants, we can't make fat out of fiber to any reasonable degree!

Fat can help curb hunger as well, but you have to be careful on your source of fat and how much fat you eat. I only eat butter or animal fat. Also I have cut out almost all bread and sugar from my diet. At my current deficit if I keep it up I will have lost 50 pounds by summer and it hasn't even been very difficult.

You have to find a way convince yourself to enjoy the sensation of hunger.

I like to think of it as a reminder of my goals and progress towards a lower bodyfat percentage. Feeling hungry means it's working.

Plus, knowing you've mastered yourself in a way that most people cannot feels good. Everyone wishes they were thin, but few people have the self control to achieve it. When you fail to moderate your food intake, you're showing yourself and the people around you that you have trouble controlling yourself. Who could respect a man who can't respect himself?

I've lost 40 pounds in the past 6 months and barely ever felt hungry (220 to 180). Just eat more fricking veggies or something. It's a joke if you just eat high volume foods. No willpower needed.

Used to be the same for me
Was fat and constantly craving something

What changed everything for me was super strict keto diet(carb method), literally 0 carbs
After a few weeks it must've killed my previous gut biome and started a new one
Could easily go a whole day eating nothing and no hint of hunger
Still got hungry when my body needed feeding but no ravenous cravings for little things all the time, just one or two big meals a day because my body needed it and not because my guts felt like a black hole sucking in on itself
Stopped keto after a few months and that craving never returned
Maybe I had worms? Goy gut biome? no idea but did it for me

      Anonymous

Not OP but I might try strict keto then.
I just need to be rid of the gnawing hunger (or equivalent gut response), it drives me mental. Without that, fat loss would be easy.

You probably won't believe me, but if you eat less as a custom for a long time, suddenly eating a lot will seem like too much and ridiculous to you.
Fatties are accustomed to eating a lot, and they don't even bat an eye while eating a whole pizza. If you ate less habitually for a while, you'd find a whole pizza to be too much and well beyond reason to eat in one sitting. You just have to reacclimate yourself to normal portions.

I suggest a ketogenic carnivore diet to all underweight people. Carnivore is high fat, so you'll get the proper materials to return to normal weight.
