It looks fine. You might wish you had some more hand positions for longer rides, but it's still manageable. I make do with flat bars for long ass rides fine enough. Just make sure the bike fit is correct.

It's fine. I know most don't like the lycra shorts but for long rides they really help. At least wear some thinner shorts that you can be athletic on.
Oh, and gloves help for your hands and going numb. I tend to switch hand positions too.

parts you don't like can be adjusted as well. just make sure to keep the mechanisms cleaned and well lubed
I've got the same model, works fine for me which is cycling to/from work over hills. Frame is light enough and sturdy. If you really need to you could switch out the tyres for thinner road ones anyway

Save yourself some time and buy a road bike. You'll want to go fast and you go unbelievably faster on a road bike than a hybrid
a road bike doesn't actually make you significantly faster, it's focused at eking out that last little bits of performance from someone who can go fast on any bike

I live out in the middle of fricking no where and am constantly dodging city folk who moved out here and think it's ok to ride their shit frick bike on a 55 mile an hour two lane road with no shoulder. It's especially dangerous because a 55 mile an hour speed limit out here basically means there is no speed limit since we only have like two patrol cars

Back when my country had not been culturally enriched, my grandfather would just let his bike in front of the place he went to. The bike would stay there and then he would come back home. He's too old to bike now, I explained to him that it's no longer possible to leave your stuff unattended and he seemed confused.
I kind of want to get a bike just for light cardio on off days but every time I watch a bike video on youtube to try and figure out what i want the people in the videos look so weak and sickly that it turns me off. also why are new bikes so expensive? if you want one with full suspension its more expensive than a motorcycle. How does that make sense

because it's highly specialized sports equipment. unless you get one of the cheap shitty BSO's (bike-shaped objects) at walmart
for daily riding you need a commuter or entry level road bike with no suspension or cross country mountain bike with front suspension (if you're in eastern europe and "roads" often more resemble what westoids would call "trails")
For casual riding, most people are not super fit. At 10-14mph especially on a popular trails/rail trail it's very moderate cardio, so if you do a lot of that but not a lot of lifting and eating, you are more runners body. You will not end up with that if you are eating enough and lifting.
New bikes can be expensive right now due a lot of component cost. You can go cheaper if you know what you are looking for and are willing to buy used. Once you get into fancy gear train components and carbon prices go up quickly and diminishing returns kick in. It may be worth it to just go to a shop, describe what you want to do and where with the bike, and at least try out a couple so you know what to look for.
You almost certainly do not need full suspension. That's the sort of thing you have for mountain bikes doing drops off of stuff. On trail of any kind suspension just robs your speed. On pavement, hardpack, gravel you will get ride comfort from frame (I prefer steel over aluminum) and tires. A tall thick gravel tire for example will be far more comfy on small bumps than a 28mm slick road tire.
