lol I know it's gay. I just do a quick one and get it over with. Sometimes I don'teven do it. It's not that big of a deal. Just shows respect. I do give respect to my training partners and cru's. What band are you bra? Just got my gold last week.

Hey guys, is muay thai fun? Do you learn any grapling as you advance? Do you have any nice videos (or whatever, stories) to share?

There is the clinch and then some take downs from there.

        Yeah it’s pretty fun.
        >You get to kick the shit out of bags and pad holders
        > you yell Thai words when punching and kicking like TEEP, TANG, EESH and OOHEYYY.
        >Your classmates are your brothers. You build bonds and gain friends.
        >Builds confidence and reassurance that you can defend yourself or at least try to.
        >you’re using all 8 limbs in combat. Better than that beaner boxing and homosexual bjj

    >do muay thai for 5 years
    >go out of my way to never learn about the culture because its homosexual af
    >still be the best at the gym
    >on par with the coaches
They would probably disagree with me on skill level, but I've also never tried hard when I spar them

      >but I've also never tried hard when I spar them
And they've never tried hard when sparring with you. Its a coaches job to match your skill.
I guarantee if they half tried you would be so humbled that you wouldn't show up to training for a month.

Nah. I have never seen them throw strikes during pads any faster than they do at me while sparring. I'm the one guy at the gym they can go full force on and not complain about it. I've seen them throw kicks as hard as they can, and they don't really phase me. Once my head coach got pissed off at me for not checking his low kicks and I told him I don't bother because he doesn't hit hard enough.
I got a granite chin, and since I work construction, the pain I've felt from getting hit by hammers or iron is far more than any human can dish out. All a matter of perspective. If you think getting punched or kicked is painful, you haven't experienced pain

      Whats your pro/amateur record?

For the guy who doesnt bother to check low kicks because 'they dont hurt compared to getting hit with a hammer', he probably has no fight record.

Don't have one. I did aspire to go pro at some point though. Eventually stopped fighting/training because making money was more important to me. Self employment was always my goal, and I'd rather be making 100k than struggling to make ends meet in the fight scene just for bragging rights
I don't know what my coach's record is either. Nobody really talked about that

        >I work construction
You sound like you work wiener

I guess you'd have experience in that eh

        >i work construction and hit my thumb with a hammer, so a serious kick to my side is nothing compared to my hammer booboos ='(

Yes. Bashing your thumb or shin with a full swing from a 28oz estwing (with the waffle face no less) hurts a frickton more than getting kicked

Okay, get in the ring for a proper fight and take a dozen kicks to your side. You'll be out of action for longer than any little hammer booboo you'd get from work.

I'd rather take 12 kicks from cro cop than bash my thumb 6 times any day

            >I guess you'd have experience in that eh
Yes, I often pay manual laborers to suck my wiener.

Bros I plan on hitting up the Muay Thai in downtown. I'm very excited, but I am not able to kick well or very flexible.

How moronic would I be if I go in with the ability to barely kick up to my chest? In an extremely horrific way too while I'm at it?

Muay thaigay here. I reckon 30% of the intermediate class can't head kick and 60% of the fundamentals class can't

With practice and stretching you'll get to a point where you will kick good, the instructors will teach you, don't worry about shit just put effort into it and have fun and all will be gucci

40% of the fundamentals here I come.

It's a class, you're mean to learn and develop skills. When I started wrestling I had zero cardio and had to be peeled off the mat every day.
Don't worry about it, just have a good attitude and try your best.
