I am generous, so I will tell you that there is a muscle in your abdomen that, when weak, causes your guts to stick out, giving you a pot belly even if you have low bodyfat. That is all I will say, no exercise selection or programming recommendations since you're a troony (Why even be a troony anyway? I have a better ass and abdomen than 99% of them effortlessly as a normal dude who lifts. What's the frickin point, being strong and intelligent is fun)
Finally before i frick off from this thread this guy is also correct working your abs/back can change your appearance and pull your fat back into you more, thats a solution but I didnt suggest it since I didnt read the thread and I assumed as a troony you didnt want to be muscular, but since I read your hormone levels are at cis female levels I highly recommend you start lifting on a bulk diet. With your hormone levels you wont build male levels of muscle and it will make your ass look bigger, your stomach look flatter, and your chest more prominent.
you cannot target specific parts of your body when it comes to fat loss, unless youre willing to have it physically cut off of you by a surgeon.
to get rid of the fat 'round your belly, you'll need to get rid of the fat everywhere else too. simply lower your body fat percentage via CICO and you'll be set

i mean i lead a happy life and i look fine when i get down to 18.5 bmi, i just like how my breasts/ass/face look when i have more on me and i'm more rounded out. there's just more in my belly than i'd like when i get up there so i wanna attack it because my diet is totally indiscriminate other than cico and i know sat/trans fats/carbs/sodium can affect belly appearance, just not sure how it all fits together. definitely fair about exercise though, i'm walking as much as i can lately
Hormones affect distribution. Chronic stress (cortisol) gives you a real goblin look with fupa belly, back fat lump, etc. Look up Cushing's Syndrome, Metabolic Syndrome. Estrogen diverts fat to thighs and breasts, testosterone more to abdomen.
But really, you don't want fat at all. Eat meat and eggs to get good nutrition to feed your healthy hormone production and promote muscle growth, and do high-intensity muscular workouts to do the same, and lose weight using CICO.
thanks for the thoughtful answer! my estrogen levels are in normal cis female range, and my body has reshaped just fine outside of my stubborn-ass visceral-patterned belly which always prioritizes itself dramatically whenever i put weight on.
i just cut out spironolactone (which i'd been on 200mg a day, which can apparently cause a ton of cortisol release), so it's just largely a waiting game on the tummy stuff since fat placement is hormone direction + time (fat cells take like 8 years to die off entirely across your whole body and be reborn according to your hormones, with a little dying each year).
i do know rapid gain helps prioritize new fat cell creation vs slow gain which prefers to fill old cells, and pioglitazone helps prioritize subcutaneous fat over visceral fat in a feminine pattern, so i'm keeping both of those in mind, alongside cardio, cico, keeping carbs down, sodium contributing to bloat, etc.

BMI is an estimate it tells you absolutely nothing about what your body fat % is. If you dont lift and youre on the higher end of "normal" BMI then your bodyfat is probably anywhere from 5-10% higher than someone who does lift.
So unfortunately like i said here its just your genetics making you look like that, gotta deal with the hand you were given.

You cant spot reduce fat. You can only control your total bodyfat % comp and your genetics (and in your case hormones) do the rest. Anyone saying you can cut fat from x area has no idea what theyre talking about.
All you can do is lose weight, simply eat less calories. What you eat doesnt matter but obviously its easier to eat less calories with some foods than others without being hungry, so eat healthy. Lean proteins and fibrous carbs and veggies.

Unironically getting rid of your tummy is best solved by overall health and fitness. Recomp is probably best done losing some weight and gaining it back while keeping protein up and lifting (READ THE STICKY)
- lift + cardio, like a lot of cardio
- white meats + veggies, get your carbs from veggies and not from bread
- eat less and lose 10 pounds, eat more and gain a better 10 pounds back, repeat until you look good and then keep being healthy

A high sugar diet and being sedentary will give you more visceral fat than if you got fat while being active and eating low sugar. Drop your calories, do cardio each day, and stop eating so much sugar, and you'll lose a lot of visceral fat even faster than you lose the subcutaneous fat
