I have a horrible pain just like this picture, it hasnt gotten better after 3 days and I can barely walk. Got it the day after doing a lot of bench presses and overhead presses.

How do I fix this? I dont want to take a break from lifting but I cant lift like this.

IST is full of inept morons...
Go get a tennis ball and lay on your back with it between your shoulder blades and roll it around to the pressure point.
Do I need to teach you how to tie your fricking shoes too?

Do it against a wall, it's easier.

It's most likely from your OHP. Your form is slightly off, check some more YouTube videos. For me, it was me letting my shoulders come forward.

Do it against a wall, it's easier.

This will help a lot, I prefer a lacrosse ball (harder) to dig deeper. Also, foam rolling my upper back after working out shoulders helped a ton.

      Good luck anon.

This is fixing a symptom and not addressing the problem

        >I'm a candy-ass b***h
Yeah anon, you never went a little hard and overworked a muscle group and it shows. Pinched nerves and muscle knots happen. Don't ego lift.

          >I'm a candyman
          Thank you
Also why do you think I said it doesn't fix the problem? It's because I've experienced it you absolute fricking moron.
Such strains are caused by muscle/mechanical imbalances that are pulling the scapula in an awkward way
If you don't assess what the imbalances are you'll just cause more imbalances by lacrosse balling every strained muscle you come across you fricking dumbass

I have scoliosis and get this due to the weather, and standing upright with no shifting for too long. Facepulls and a sort of rotator-cuff shoulder rotation with a dumbbell are in my routine for it. It's your subscapularis.

Get an electric hotpad and put it on your back to help with the pain.

I had to take 3 months off for a similar injury. Just cut weight and run instead.

To all the morons ITT (that’s everyone but me), you should be doing 3:1 or 3:2 MINIMUM back:chest ratio.
That means 3 back exercises to 2 chest exercises, minimum, got it? Tards

Very smart and insightful, anon. You seem high IQ and handsome.

Then you get tight lats, which roll your shoulders forward
Rows/pulls aren't 100% good for your shoulders, you don't have to have that dumb ratio
Stretch your chest & lats and do some rotator cuff work like Ts, Ys, Ws and so on. That's what will actually keep your shoulders healthy

Wrong. Everything you do is “forward” (driving, typing, studying). You need to do more back. Thanks for proving my point that you are a moron, moron
