i been on a diet for a month or two with zero results losing belly fat so i started doing cardio yesterday. It's kind of a fricking scam, I did 25 mins in elyptic machine and only burnt 200 calories lmao, a fricking burger has like 800 cals.

redpill me on the most effective cardio type per minute or so to burn more calories or fat, you have several options like running, walking, elyptic, stationary bike, steps, etc

The trick with cardio is that it adds up overtime, it’s a tool, you can’t out-cardio a diet, but it will help your diet and lose fat faster than without it.

        Anonymous

        >you can’t out-cardio a diet
Absolute nonsense. I ride a bike to work, to the gym, and I walk/jog with my dog for 1hour minimum each day. On average I am 1hr50mins cardio daily, increasing my calorie burn by some 650-900kcal per day, depending.

Exactly. Why do people not get this.

If you already are eating at maintenance, or calorie surplus, you can either: eat less, or move more (both is probably better).

Having extra calorie expenditure is going to make cutting much easier. But the flip side is also true - don't want to lose gains because of cardio? Eat 200 more calories a day. You'll weigh the same and your heart and lungs will be stronger.

HIIT skipping rope + plyometric exercises (squat jumps, burpees, high knees, jump lunges, mountain climbers)
Burns more calories in less time (15-20 mins). You can do it separately or after lifting.

Journey of 1,000mi begins and end with a single step.

Every step along that journey is an individual step itself.

Imagine how many paragraphs and individual words one must read on their road to becoming a scholar.

Imagine how many individual reps of bench press, squat, and deadlift one must do to reach mass monster status.

You're thinking far, far, far too small. I fear for the long term function of your brain.

Cardio is not for creating a calorie deficit, it's for maintaining the health. Particularly the health of your brain is really helpful when you're intentionally short on calories, but it's not what's gonna get you thin.

    Bros do your cardio.
I used to only lift weights, recovery times in between sets used to be too long. Now I can start the next set much quicker, leading to quicker workouts.
Also I frick like an absolute stud now. Bad cardio made me cum within 4 minutes every time. Now I frick for 10+ mins everytime, even in sensitive positions like missionary.

Is it just me or does Cardio tighten up the entire body?

Before cardio I look a bit flabby, like my skin is loose over my muscles, but after Cardio it looks and feels tight--is it because the sweat changes the lighting, or is there some true physical change happening?

how important is Cardio for a lean physique?

I feel cardio gives a full body pump in a way, I too look a lot smoother after a long run.

Plus I believe long term effects of running include recomposition/redistributing body fat

It's cuz you're dehydrated, oiled via sweat, with a slight inflammation pump.

We already know you don't lift since you do cardio. But the same thing happens there.

  22. 2 years ago

I go to the gym, walk the dog every morning, work a physical job, and swim a few times a week.

The best kind of exercise is constant, moderate, physical activity. If you can't carry a conversation while you're doing it, you're going too hard. Ultimately it depends what your goal is, obviously a triathlete wants to go as hard as they can, but if you're just looking for health and longevity and aesthetics, intense cardio is pretty much pointless.

guys i am a 6'0 137 lb skelly should i still do cardio? are the physical benefits beyond lungs and heart just that it burns calories? i feel like i should just be eating and lifting right now instead.

      Anonymous

Honestly man if you can fit it in, go for it. You're gonna have to eat even more than you already are though, and if you're 6'0" and 137lbs your main problem is not eating enough.
I wouldn't sacrifice time lifting to do it however. The endorphins you get from cardio are just something else and that's the only reason I'd consider it for you in the first place.
