I just found out we absurd different proteins differently.

I just found out we absurd different proteins differently. We absorb twice as much protein from meat as whey powder and 3 times as much from eggs as whey powder.
Is the 1 gram per pound thing legit or wtf?

Congratulations, you've read some whole food propaganda.

      >whole food that exists in nature by just fricking existing

      >product that company has to market to sell and make profit to keep operating
Hmm which one of these would require propaganda to keep their spot on the store shelf?

just wait until you learn that protein isn't really 1 thing but a vague representation of various amino acids that don't have the same utility.

I knew that but I assumed a label saying 1 gram of Protein meant it had some sort of definition. This is like if your speed limit sign just said "maximum 5 speeds"

but whey is very good in that regard

it's not hard getting all your protein from meat and eggs

No, but whey can be convenient. Especially if you are trying to cut.

i'm doing a short but moderately intense cut; a mini cut if you will.
            shirataki noodles
            chicken breasts
            eggs
            cauliflower
            multiple times a day
            1800cals 200g of protein
If you want to use protein powder go ahead, but i prefer eating real food.

    >absorb
What you mean by this exactly?
    Where does "unabsorbed" protein go?

      turns your pee foamy
unlike with fat/carbs the body has very limited capabilities of storing unused amino acids

Your body turns the rest into glucose to use as energy.

so it does get absorbed after all

I meant absorbed and converted into actual proteins used in your tissue. Just because your body doesn't literally shit out the rest 100% untouched by your digestive tract doesn't mean it is equivalent.

it's gets absorbed in most scenarios except where you're force-feeding yourself so much it literally forces food out of your intestines and into your colon before it's done digesting. It's a pretty long ass tube. Like you digest these things then these aminos get transported through the intestinal wall through your liver at which point half of them are turned into glucose, then they enter general blood circulations and what ever needs them grabs them out of the blood when they bump into them and eventually they're on their way back to liver where the amino content is halved every time it passes through. This is at normal blood sugar levels at lower levels it occurs more at high levels it occurs less. Things aren't digested instantly or all the aminos kind of trickle into the bloodstream for 4-6 hours then it's pretty much done with that particular digestion process. It's not a huge deal unless you're either OMAD or doing so much gear that your protein synthesis is off the charts.

Dont know what bullshit source you are getting your info from but its wrong. Whey has the highest bio-avaibability of all the protons.

No, but whey can be convenient. Especially if you are trying to cut.

Literally how? Meat and eggs. You can literally just drink the eggs raw like a protein powder.

How bio-available is raw eggs compared to cooked?

There is only one study on the matter and personally I don believe the results of it. But supposedly they're half as bioavailable which still makes them better than protein powders.
