Actually late 20's is the worst if you're still single, because by then you're physically finished your youth and you start to realize how much time you have left, and you wasted your best years

If you just treat your body somewhat well and aren't unfortunate enough to get struck by some serious illness, you have a really good shot at being in the generation that will never die. The projected lifespan for someone born in 99 is in the excess of a hundred years. That's 80 years of progress in biotech for a solution to come around. Even the billionaires who are the only ones that can bankroll this progress are starting to wake up to the fact that they are, in fact, mortal, with Bezos injecting like 3 billions into anti aging research last year, the saudis committing to a 20 billion dollar project, etc

just face it, life is meaningless without death. Sure, healing deadly diseases like cancer or infections is good someverhone can live more or less up to a similar age but why would you want to live forever?

Who wants to live forever, when love must die?

Sounds kind of morbid, but as you get older and experience death when your peers expire, it kind of makes it more of something you can accept. You’re just more grateful and thankful for the life you’re living, and that others in your age group have already gone through it lessens the fear of the inevitable.

Even Zyzz kind of did this for me prior to people I actually know. He’d be my age if he didn’t die. It is somehow comforting.

Not that guy but I also have an intense fear of death. I think it’s because I want there to be more or something beyond the material but no matter how many different ways I’ve looked at it, deep in my heart of hearts I just don’t believe it.

I’m greedy about my sentience I guess. I want to be around forever to shitpost and watch sports.

Eternal shitposting would be cool, but isn't it cooler knowing that everything is finite and more valuable because of that? I'd recommend you to read some stoic literature, it helps.

Greek. Philosophers being obtuse by ignoring the fact that fear of death is mostly fear of the absense of existence, not the act of dying.

      Take philosophy-pill.
Read Nietzsche, Schopenhauer (the two ones I like), make your own philosophy on life and death, realize that it is pointless to think about inevitable, enjoy life looking forward to the future.

I used to be crippled with anxiety around death. I remember being 15 or 16 and just suddenly realising, "oh shit, I'm going to die one day" and it consumed my every thought. It went away until I was around 20 and then came back for another year.

I'm 25 now and genuinely do not give a shit
