I suspect that a. You should exert yourself more. That is you dont probably know what pushing hard means. Its suprisingly common, especially for people with no sports background. Or/and b. Your technique is off and causes failure when you add weights. And/or c. There are some physical limitations that have not come up in the thread, like mobility.

Dont give up. I need to go and fix my bathtub now. Wagmi.

Could be technique or something else weird. I would honestly get a pt for a couple of sessions to check that out. Or you might benefit from having a friend who knows how to lift and could do occassional sessions with you

To be fair, it's largely genetic.
Wild animals never train but they can hold onto large amounts of muscle for free.
A lion just does a bit of cardio once every three days and otherwise mostly lazes about yet he remains ripped as frick.

Likewise, most men in the 50's were pretty built even if they worked office jobs for a living.
An architect with rolled up sleeves working on a drawing would often still have bigger hands and forearms than many gymbros do nowadays.

200 is extremely low for a young adult male. Lift weights and such, as others have said, but also don't let people gaslight you into thinking you don't have a legitimate medical condition here. Lifting weights and lots of red meat will improve testosterone, but it's not going to compensant for chronically low T. See a different doctor. Mine was 180ish, and I was put on T. After a few weeks I got my energy back. I had okay arms, but still had b***hbreasts and a flabby pouch for a stomach. Taking test fixed that up. This is why I say don't let people gaslight you into not taking a medication you actually need. It improves metabolism by 30% just on its own, and higher testosterone means much easier muscle synthesis. You're not crazy for wondering why it's harder to put on muscle compared to naturally high test men.
