I need to have visible abs a month from now. I have a stubborn belly fat and love handles. What strategy should I pick? Should I just have a 10% caloric deficit and hope it's enough or calculate how much body fat I should burn per day. I don't want to stop making gains cause I'm a noob and this is the best time for gains so perhaps a carnivore diet?

    real answer? too late. if you literally must, go on extreme caloric deficit (-50% to -100% TDEE) and blast gear. not kidding—if you have no ab muscles, they won't show after you lose fat. simple as

      I think muscle-wise I'm good, I can kinda see the outline of my upper abs already. I can do 50%+ caloric deficit, I did it before with 24h fasts every other day and it worked well for me except I regained all my lost weight real quick after the cut.

        realistically, TDEE -500 cals will only burn around 1lb per week. not sure 4lb will be enough for you though. remember that to burn 1lb of fat, you need to burn around 3500 cals. so if you need to drop 10lb, you literally must have 1200 cal deficit every day for a month. more if you need more. fast might be your best option depending on your BF%

            i dont want to shatter your illusions but you are a long way away. you still have fat on your arms. you will have shredded veiny forearms and visible biceps vein long before having abs. just accept this and work out on a small deficit, stop thinking about the timeframe. youre obviously very young, it doesnt matter if it takes a year (it wont if you work out and eat well). just stay diligent to your routine

              Sounds about right. I'm still wondering though what should I do for the next month. I'm gonna have to go to the beach either way so I wanna know if I should do a small deficit and try to gain muscle while losing some fat along the way or should I dedicate the month to extreme cutting and lose as much fat as I can while trying to maintain muscle?

            Just focus on getting stronger and learning how to work out effectively

      Actually this. You will need to fast hard and work your ass off (mostly cardio) to get rid of that belly and it won't be enough in that short time.
