I started lifting a week ago, I’m taking it very seriously. I get up at 6 AM every day, I quit alcohol, I’m doing my research. I’m sick of being the fat one in the family. I want to be the strong one instead.

But I have a fear, will my gyno ever go away? Or at least look less disgusting? Is it doomed?

    Get your thyroid level in check, might be that, also don't consume goyslop, follow a good diet and COMMIT to the workouts

    Fasting is probably going to be your best bet as far as non surgical intervention because fasting promotes cellular autophagy, but to get to point where you're going to be comfortable with your shirt off you're going to need corrective surgery.

      I’m committed, I’ve tried exercising before and didn’t like it. But it was always cardio and stuff. Never tried lifting before. And once I did i was addicted, the dopamine rush is just so insane. Felt better than I could’ve imagined

        Read extensively about Intermittent Fasting. Reddit gets shit on, but their FAQ,s on this are pretty good.

        Basically, you go to a compressed eating window. You have to consume all of your daily calories within the window and you consume 0 outside of it. The most common is 16-8, but you might find you like something different. For most people, it just means not eating breakfast and then having a late lunch with a regular dinner.

        You can also do 72 hour fasts once every couple of months to get a bevy of other health benefits.

        I would do this until you get down to a good body fat level, stay on it for a while and see how much loose skin your body will eat up.

        How old are you? If youre under 30 you should be able to bounce back pretty well to the point that you can get away with just a tight under-shirt.

          You have boobs, they'll get better with lower body fat percentage, but you have actual breast tissue, not fat deposits. Your hormones are fucked get them checked out, you might get lucky and put on TRT or an estrogne blocker, once that happens your gains will soar.

          Damn that would be crazy, I’ll try to get an appointment. My doctor is retiring and it’s been a pain in the ass but I might be able to get another doctor or something.
          Would that make me not natty if I’m taking it due to an actual health problem?

    It'll go away. Gyno is just a tendency to store fat in the breast area. Lower body fat = less tiddy. More muscle mass underneath the fat = pancake like shape (big pec).
    You basically cant stop your fitness journey ever. Not a bad thing in the end. You'll look killer and have big aesthetic pectorals that women will love to hickey.
    You are going to make it.
    And even if you dont you can remove it with surgery pretty painlessly permanently(assuming you dont overeat to regain all that fat).

      WHo the fuck cares about being "natty" or not. Men have T in the range of 350-800 normally. under 350 being exceptionally low and between 900-1000 being the peak of how high it can be naturally usually. If you get it checked, and its around 200, they might garden gnome you out of TRT, endos are retarded sometimes and they try to give you eunuch levels of hormones sometimes. From personal experience my endo tried to fuck me over keeping my shit at 150. As for your gyno, itll get better with weight loss but you'll need surgery to remove the breast tissue, it'll feel like a bunch of lumps under your nipple, if it was just fat it'd be all soft and squishy, not lumpy and perky like that. Maybe you're lucky and you just have shitty hormones and it IS just mostly fat distrubtion, with how perky those look I doubt it though unfortunately.

    Maybe your genetics likes to store fat in your tits. You'll need to cut a lot to figure out if that goes away on its own. I'm sure it would at least improve a bit. Start saving for surgery and researching that option.

    it's not the answer you want anon but you won't know for months. I thought I had gyno but was just naturally barrel chested, and my freak ribcage pushed all my fat forward until I lost weight. chest still looks unaesthetic, but my torso looks like muscleat least. however it was about a year of lifting for me to realize it wasn't gyno, although I didn't train seriously for the first 6 months.
    give it 6 months of lifting, and once you lose some fat you'll know for sure. most people don't have gyno and are just piggies.
