    The muscle on question is serratus posterior inferior and posterior superior.
    Working out won’t affect those muscles much.
    However, you may have rounded your shoulders in the act of phlegm expulsion. Focus on bent over rows first and listen to your body.

    Don't do it OP. Find exercises you can do pain-free and do those until it heals. If its a minor injury it won't take too long.
    If you push it you'll fucking regret it.

        If you exercise the muscles they fill with blood, and when more blood pumps through them more nutrients do as well which helps them heal.
