I want to look like the picture on the left. Steroids?

I am the guy on the right. I got three problems

My arms don't grow, my abs don't show, and my chest is shaped gay as frick.

Is all of this genetic? Is steroids the only solution? Or is this totally doable.

sorry about the gross armpit hair.

You need to eat more, and you need to actually struggle to lift the weights in the gym. You probably have frickarounditis so I suggest SL 5x5 just as a way to see yourself getting measurably stronger. You’re gonna have to bulk and gain a little body fat, but by then you should know what you’re doing.

What abs? Train them, and when you lose weight after they'll show
    >my chest is shaped gay as frick
it's fine anon just not that big atm.

You're not that far off actually. Use a bodybuilding program and bulk up slowly (100-200kcal over maintenance) for a year and then begin cutting until you're shredded after that. Leanness is the main factor here. Hes not that big but he's diced.
Your abs will show if you work them with weighted ab exercises for higher volume. Weighted situps, leg raises, and Russian Twists are my 3 favorites. Ab wheel of increasing difficulty is also a great addition.
Your arms will grow if you spam isolation lifts like incline Skull Crushers and EZ-Bar Curls. I'm doing 3 sets of each and then 3 down sets for the same exercises using about 10-15% less weight. I've increased my arm size by 3/4" over the past 2 1/2 months using that method instead of using lots of different variations.
Learn how to maintain that shredded body through diet and lifestyle and allowing your body to adjust to it as your new state. In total you're looking at around 1.5-2 years of investment from that point but you'll look great and you'll be healthy.
Also your chest shape isn't that bad. I've seen way worse both in person and online. You also need to really work on your lateral and rear delts in addition to the arms and abs if that's your goal physique.

thanks for response! it was helpful

Your frame is fine moron you need to drink an extra two glasses of milk a day plus an a couple eggs and workout a couple days a week and youll grow. Cant put on muscle past a low threshold without having excess resources, eat eat eat.

I guess eating more seems to be the meta. I read that leanness was number one priotity but I guess that comes later. Right now I mainly eat protein bars for meals and the occasional toast or hamburger or something.

I also take multivitamin (you can see it in the OP on the right if you have a sharp eye)

in case this is not a bait thread; he's fricking with you. you are a total skinny fat dyel. you are probably worse than being fat because you don't have any muscle mass to begin with or the motivation of losing weight. of course isolation won't help you when you have no muscle whatsoever. the guy who gave you advice is probably no better than you. Cloud looks like he could be some gymnastics perma conditioned guy who started working out at the age of 8. ab workouts do work. the problem is that most people don't have anywhere near the discipline to train their core everyday. two or three sets will get you nowhere. get a gym membership and start doing the basic barbell lifts. you can't even think about skipping the basics. don't ever pay attention to bodybuilder meme terms like "bulking" and "shredding" you should just focus on getting stronger. you want more reps and more plates with good form.

I think OP underestimates how muscular the guy on the left really is. If you want a perfect recreation Op it will take this long. But to be honest with one year of proper training I think you can evoke the "feeling" of the anime man on left. I would say go for hard slow bulk then a little cut at the end should do it. You should post your height and current weight and I'll tell you what weight and bf to aim for

    Bro
You are on the right pat literally just start working out properly.
You could look amazing and feel amazing, probably more than 90% of people, and you are thinking about roids?
    Why?
You lose all your roid muscle afterwards and you give yourself chronic mental and physical issues.
Just take your time, give yourself 2 or 3 years of proper working out and you will probably have cloud's physique.

Your frame could support 15-25lbs more of lean mass easily. You've got a ton of bulking today. That is all of the issue here. It's fine to add some fat and get a little uncomfortable, you can cut that after. Bulk slowly, but consistently. Roids aren't even in the conversation, you need to see what you can do when you bulk first.

I hate reddit as much as the next person, but at least the spacing makes everything easy to read.

It breaks the post up so it comes across like a collection of statements with cuts in between rather than a wall of rant, which people just pass up.

It even makes it more expressive in a way, since every sentence can be said on it's own with unique emotion.

you can achieve that physique naturally and pretty quickly considering you're lean already. Don't do SL 5x5 like the other guy said, instead focuse specifically on hypertrophy training and you'll achieve that within a year or two MAX.

Reps on reps on reps > strength training.

Also, look up the routine of a real person who has a similar physique and just copy them. Or someone similarly aesthetic who is bigger and just stop focus on maintaining when you reach that physique.

You've got this OP. Best of luck.

      thanks for the response!

I heard that high reps doesn't increase muscle size or shape at all, it just burns calories and helps stamina. Almost everyone else suggests heavy weights to increase that size. Is this wrong?

        Anonymous

        >Almost everyone else suggests heavy weights to increase that size. Is this wrong?

They exaggerate how much strength you need to actually build a decent physique. Again focus on hypertrophy workouts and don't fall for the strength meme unless that's what you want to build. And, even then you'd be better off getting the body you desire first and then working on the strength after.

Progressive overload but don't waste time doing 5x5 rep schemes, focus on getting as many reps as you can and work with weights that allow you to do so. 90-120 reps per muscle per week over 2 sessions = plenty.

          Anonymous

          >90-120 reps per muscle per week over 2 sessions = plenty.

I should specify I mean 45-60 reps per session over 2 session a week resulting in a total of 90-120 reps per week.

          5x5x2x52=2,600 reps in a year
          vs.
90x52=4,680 or 1.8x the amount of reps
120x52=6,240 or 2.4x the amount of reps

guess which one is going to build you the most muscle.

The one with the most hard sets. Lmao. You can't just lift baby weight all day and expect your body to build muscle over it.

eat more fricktard, bulk then cut to achieve something closer to the left

however obviously since youre comparing yourself to a literal fictional character you have to keep your expectations in check. Cloud's physique there looks to be at like 3-4% bodyfat but without any of the obvious giveaways of a roider (giant abdomen and traps). Forget steroids, that physique isn't achievable with or without them. You can get pretty close but I would honestly just bulk and then try to maintain 12-15% bodyfat, you'll be pretty close to what you want.

      Anonymous

Bulking is annoying though. I've been trying to do so but 3.5k calories is a disgusting amount of food.
