I will never understand fatties who lift instead of doing cardio

Losing weight is a very simple and fast process compared to building muscle. Just walk a little every day and water fast 30 days with occasional meals once or twice a week and a fruit every morning.
Then you can focus on building muscle.
why on earth is weightlifting your priority when youre a fat lard? look at the fatties in the gym, they rarely lose weight even after years. When youre fat your main goal should be to look like a human aka eating right and doing cardio. benchpressing 3x8 with 4 minutes rest in between wont make you thin. at least not as fast as fasting and easy cardio.
AND NO, you cannot do both! doing both is moronic. One step after the other, its not that hard.
goal 1 = lose fat => focus on that
goal 2 = build muscle => am fat, do goal 1 first
first you become human, then you might become chad if you put in the real work.

      There is this fat guy who comes into the gym and has been coming into the gym for years. He has never lost weight. The exercises he does suggest he is trying to deal with back pain. It just blows my mind. What the frick is he doing? Someone needs to slap the shit out of him and tell him he is fat.

      Anyway, as to your point, no you should lift weights and do cardio and most importantly stop eating so much if you are fat.

        If you have no muscle then when the fat comes off you look like shit, you should lift and do cardio on the off days, just eat at a deficit. Thats the one thing fatties dont do, its not lifting weights or lack of cardio, cardio really isnt that efficient conpared to just not eating.

          if youre serious about losing weight ASAP you should fast. how in the frick does the fattie lift weights when hes been fasting for weeks? impossible. during the 1 to 3 month fasting period you can lose all the weight just by fasting. in contrast even if you ate like you usually do, weightlifting for just three fricking months wont give you any noticeable gainz. lifting on a fast makes no sense. light cardio like walking does

    I lost a lot of weight when I was 18 and ended up with very little muscle mass. Its moronic to think you shouldn't lift during weight loss, you should also reach you protein goal.
    Its like that anon says, lift and cardio. Take it easy, you are just building a strong base to work on when you get rid of the fat and help you lose weight faster.
    That is if you are actually losong weight and not lying to yourself like most fatties.

    OMAD is the better option. Strength training is absolutely beneficial even when shedding 50+ pounds.

      This, or at least IF if you have to. With OMAD you can vary your meal based on how much you need, you can have enough energy when you need it, and lose weight still stupid fast.
      I still believe the most important part of a diet is the lifestyle changes post diet so you keep the weight off.
      Otherwise you feel like a moron.

    You can indeed do both, not if you're already near your genetic limit but still. Building muscle mass is also way easier when you're fat and having more muscle mass will also make it easier to lose fat.

    Yes, go be a non-functioning person 30 days at a time for who knows how long, surely that will work for people who are not unemployed living out their moms basement.     I've lost 30 lbs since November of last year while lifting four times a week with 30 minutes of cardio after each lifting session, all while making significant strength gains.

    People with higher bodyfat percentages are able to still build muscle pretty effectively while cutting weight. Avoiding lifting while losing weight is just leaving gains on the table.

      This. Doing a ridiculous 30 day fast like OP is suggesting is only for people that are like 300+ pounds. Let’s say you’re 5’10” and let yourself balloon up to 230. Look at it as a really dirty bulk and use that extra mass to your advantage while you start cutting down.
