IBS cure anyone?

Got fricking IBS symptoms for almost a decade now. Got loads of tests and the docs cant find any other reason for it. Really affects daily life cause of the constant nausea and trying to follow the really restrictive fodmap diet. Anyone here managed to cure it for themselves? Or improve the symptoms?

Chew all of your food until it's liquid and leaks into your throat by itself.

this is a problem of the intestines dumbass! liquid or solid it wont help.

It will help because chewing food properly raises your production of stomach acid, which means that food is digested and absorbed more rapidly, which means less of it gets to the intestines and rots.

Try cutting out foods for around a week each time.

If you need to, just got to something very basic like fast/bananas for a day or so then reintroduce

    0. Check your thyroid, iodine and selenium in blood. Supplement with iodine and selenium if needed.
    1. Check your stomach with gastropanel or/and gastroscopy. You want to know two thing - if you have h pylori and if you have atrophy or any other gastritis and/or polyps. If you have pylori eradicate it. If you have atrophy gastritis you want to heal it as soon as possible. Take zinc l carnosine and vitamine A and other stuff your doctor may prescribe. If you have gastritis you probably just have low acidity, so see n.0 about thyroid - if you hypothyroid you want to heal it. Also betaine HCL helps with low acidity but be careful and don't do damage for stomach
    2. Do breathing test for SIBO. If you have SIBO you may take rifaximin.
    3. Check your gallbladder. Ultrasound, blood tests, AST, ALT, alkaline phosphatase, bilirubin. You may want to increase fluidity of bile - so take taurine, TUDCA, lecithin. And you should eat fats, because fats are choleretic.
    4. Check you pancreas. Ultrasound, stool for Pancreatic elastase, blood for amylase and lipase.
    5. Finally, your colon. Make stool tests for Fecal Calprotectin and Occult blood in feces. You want be sure you don't have inflamation here. If stool tests are bad you should make colonoscopy because you must be sure you don't have polyps or cancer. But if you have IBS for 10 years it's better to do colonoscopy anyway.

Generally you want your stomach have good mucous layer without h pylori and with good acidity (h pylori decreases acidity), your gallbladder produce required amount of bile (so your gallbladder shouldn't have stones and your bile must be fluid), your colon be healthy. Supplement with vitamin A (required for healing mucosal layers), vitammins B (for various reasons), zinc (extremely important for imunity and stomach acidity). Don't go carnivore, it will not cure anything. Fiber is extremely important.

If you can't tolerate fiber, start with some bitter greens like rugula with olive oil in beginning of meal - it will stimulate bile flow.

Also, there is some chance you can have Bile Acid Malabsorption. It easy to test by taking Cholestyramine - if Cholestyramine you have it.

Also there is soda test for stomach acidity. It is not precise, but if it takes long long time to burp (like 10 minutes) it is good sign you have low acidity

been about 9 months on low fodmap diet. i am super stressed out after certain meals and my heart rate goes up to 130bpm when im idle, even the next day. i get much more calm once my bowels are empty. i sleep 5-6 hours because of that. moronic doctors send me to cardiologists and they want me to take beta blockers but frick them.

14-16 hour fasting can help you restore the state of intestines, especially helps to get rid off acid reflux
stop drinking carbonated stuff, start drinking water or weak teas
meals that consists of mostly carbs cause acid reflux for me. idk if thats the case for you. thats mostly sweets but also stuff like pizza or macaroni with sauce
its worth to drink 1 liter of water in the morning right after you wake up, clears out your bowels etc if you add lemon juice to it, it will lower acid reflux too
drinking anything hot can cause acid reflux too as well as spicy stuff
watch out for ingredients in spices - they contains loads of powdered onion and garlic (they are not low fodmap)
i assume you were tested for helibacter pylori?

consider mastika (pills/powder) and lactobacillus reuteri supplementation but it would be better if you could get recommendation from a specialist as there are many different types of probiotics and they are used for very specific problems

drink aloe vera (from pharmacy if possible)

activated charcoal for gas (but watch out to not neutralize other supplements with this)

    paxil will help

    A. Some time IBS is caused by general anxiety to begin with so a lite dose of SSRI like Paxil will help

    B. Paxil slows down contractions of colon, so even without the anxiety-treating aspect, Paxil can help alleviate some aspects of IBS

no, the dose for paxil for this can be just 10mg (vs the standard depression dose of 30 to 40 mg) so the side effets are minimal.

Going Carnivore reduces all IBS symptoms for me. It might be overall bad for my health and for all I know might kill me sooner but it does help with IBS

Avoid foods in red. Green are some alternatives if you must

See if your doctor will prescribe you Rifaximin for IBS-D, a lot of IBS-D is bacteria in the wrong place.

Also, have you tried IBGuard (delayed-delivery peppermint oil)?

Note that both of these can make the symptoms worse for like 2 weeks so truck through that initial phase and then see if you can tolerate more forbidden foods

    >Anyone here managed to cure it for themselves? Or improve the symptoms?
I never got diagnosed with IBS but I had all the symptoms ever since I was a kid. Things got especially bad when I went to college and started eating like shit, I got incredibly painful flare ups that would reoccur on a 2 month time frame. Then I started lifting and got rid of it in 6 months. I haven't had a single flare up in 4 years. Milk and dairy probiotics especially are what I believe cured me. Eat and drink milk, yoghurt, kefir, cheese, oats, leafy greens. AVOID LIKE THE FRICKING PLAGUE seed oils, fast food, soda and alcohol.

But sadly, you'll have to accept that you're gonna be on a diet of trial and error for some months. Learn what works for you and your genes, but I promise, by the end of it it'll be all worth it

Silver Fern Brand has some supplements that have helped me a lot, specifically their probiotic and their "Cleanse" immunoglobulins, but they have a bunch of other stuff too that you could try depending on your own symptoms
