          > how tall are you?
          185 cm
          >How long have you been training?
I am not training. I am just walking 1.5 whenever i can until i lose my belly (usually 3 times per day). I started since mid December

Optimize diet. Focus on drinking water. Before eating, drink a pint of water.
Do not focus on cardio, because it's the bane of fat people, as running trying to move a heavily overweight body is always a torment. Except walking, do walking. Probably best thing fat people can do is walk.
And in general do weight training, because it uses calories, is usually more pleasant for fat people to do, and creates a foundation for your future body.

          >Optimize diet. Focus on drinking water. Before eating, drink a pint of water.
already on that. I replaced coke with water. best decision ever. also eating healthier.

          Don't listen to this dipshit.

Lift. The best way to lose fat over time is with the calorically costly adaptation and maintenence of musculature which then uses even larger amounts of energy for greater bouts of force production. Your body composition will improve AND you will eventually get jacked. These things are not mutually exclusive.

Just lift while cutting. You'll get noobgains even with relatively low weight lifts.

Another big part of it is actually sticking to it. Some people progress fast, some people take it slow. Just have to trust the process and don't slip.
If you have a cheat day, actually make it a cheat day, but not a tragedy day. Even if you decide to stuff yourself, stuff yourself with good stuff like lean protein and veggies.

if you're untrained, just shoot for a "healthy" BMI. keep lifting while you're cutting. You'll notice progress in as little as a month if you're consistent

85's a good start, once your there you may want to lose 10 more though. I'm assuming 85 is just what the doctor is recommending based off bringing you to a normal BMI

Listen to this anon, radically diet will just frick your skin, start lifting and walking/rowing/swimming.
I have never been fat but i heard good things about getting strong and big first rather than just losing weight.
        Good luck.

as former 400+ anon I agree that weights should be prioritized 100ish pounds out

Crash dieting and shit macros will frick you harder long term.

Aim for 1% of bodyweight loss per week MAXimum.

You can lose weight and gain muscle at your weight, don't listen to the memes about that. You can unironically get away with it until like 225, if that, you can probably tank the whole thing bro.

also, while I don't recommend it, "technically" as long as it fits macros, you can eat it. but eventually I stopped eating the slice of pizza in favor of real food, I couldn't stand being hungry versus the dopamine hit.

Do not consider exercise until you understand diet and CICO and macros/micros,

but understand a fat person who exercises will be healthier than a fat person who doesn't

Lift weights within a year to your goal weight

    >400+ anon who started to soon

Out of all my epic noob gains so now I wanna kill myself when I enter the gym cause I'm past the fun part, it's just shit.

not that I don't like it, I just coulda got away with not losing strength cause i got to cheat by being fat

You're gonna be 12% bodyfat at your height in Centimeters (roughly), so add 5-20 pounds to that and that's your current goal weight, nothing else matters. also use that weight for your Macro requirements too

129kg = 285lb, OP should be fine to start weights and light cardio. Squats and deads might be difficult, but bodyweight squats should also build strength at that weight.

my first routine was just 1rm EOD like a moron lmao

He's not even THAT fat, compared to me, yeah start lifting now. Also appearntly ur 185cm? Just round it to 180 or 200, call it 200 for now.

eat something like ~160g of protein, 50-100g of Fat and idk 2000 calories, just go to /fat/ and they'll tell you (read the pinned comment on it)
and yeah, start on some shit strength routine for like 1-3months, then swap to BB (if thats your goal). I kinda got forced to BB cuz I get injured easily + I wanna look like a BB + I get faint during cuts, so frick 1rm

I never lost weight while calorie counting. What did eventually do it for me was eating way more vegetables, avoiding goyslop, and eventually improving my gut biome. I was on the verge of getting out of the obese range when the lockdowns hit and I've never recovered psychologically from 2020, so I'm back in the mid 260s where I started. Reading this book and following (most of) the advice in it was when I started actually losing weight instead of just spinning my wheels and building muscle, so I'll leave that here too.

It came in waves for me, I think CICO is nuclear, but if possible, try to never count them. (but you literally can't lose if you do it)

            >First like 50 was "intuitive" cuz I was so big
            >Next 100 was IF, CICO, and Fasting
            >The rest was CICO
But I hit a point where I would binge really bad, and I had to eat intuitively again, obviously I mentally counted stuff, but the Counting really fricked my head for a while. (i'd eat 25k calories, then try to work it off, then binge 5 days later, repeat for like half a year)

Dropping down to our ideal weight without lifting is at best doing it the hard way, and for most people next to impossible. If you've never lifted do a beginner program like Starting Strength to get your noob gains then look into something higher volume like 3x10 or circuit. Most importantly start working on your diet. Increase protein, reduce carbs and unhealthy fats. You'll need to learn how to cook with whole, natural ingredients because pre-made "health food" is mostly just overpriced goyslop. Developing a healthy gut biome is another thing that most people overlook at first. Look up some guides on preparing saurkraut, kimchi, and milk kefir (kefir is the most important of the three).

Lift weights and eat at a calorie deficit. Any exercise is better than none, if you don't exercise but eat at a calorie deficit you will lose weight, but if you lift while in a deficit you will come out of your fat loss phase looking a lot better and with a 'faster metabolism' because of all the muscle you would have built.

    weightlifting burns calories

Personally, i think weightlifting is a good way to start losing weight, if you're at 129kg, jogging or the elliptical might feel like grueling work, but weightlifting is largely not that exhausting, also as a beginner if you eat good foods with a healthy calorie deficit you'll also probably make some strength gains, also as you develop muscle, your BMR will increase.

OP should definitely not jog and the stair climber is going to be a strength machine instead of cardio. Rowing or swimming are good options.
