    Just lift and eat healthy.

Just lifting won't build muscle. Calorie surpluses build muscle. Building muscle while losing fat is an inefficient process for the body.

I do and I am skinny fat myself. I tried the whole recomp bullshit during my first year of lifting with no results.

Is it really that easy, bros?

It really is different for everybody. Generally, if you are overweight, eat less and eat a healthy diet and your general well-being/physique will improve. If you are underweight eat more but you can eat clean as well. Diet is like 50% or more of the struggle. I eat like shit but am active and lift and have a decent physique. Just eat a lot of protein and lift heavy and you'll see muscle growth

Currently in similar situation. Depends on your goal really. Most of fit only lift to attract whores so they'll thell you to cut. But cutting is boring af and I don't fuck whores so I'm bulking up

I don’t really mind becoming a fatty for awhile if a proper cut will look good afterwards but are there any risks

Bulking will just make you fat
    Just eat in maintenance

This whole idea that skinny fat can be solved by "just gaining more muscle and then losing weight" is so fake haha. It doesn't work like that at all... it is about hormones, but I am not going to go into it.

sure bud, so why are they skinny fat in the first place? if they gain weight and muscle, they will just be fat fat, and then when they lose weight, they will be temporarily good looking, but then they have to go back to maintenance and they will be fat fat or skinny fat if they stop lifting. Otherwise, they wouldn't be skinny fat in the first place, they would just be skinny.

How was anything you said related to hormones

            Anonymous

skinny fat means absence of extra muscle at around 17-23% bodyfat, no shit you would lose your muscle mass if you stop training Shelrock.

ok sweety. So tell me, why are they "skinny fat" to begin with? Why aren't they just "skinny"? You know, there are skinny people that aren't skinny fat right? What is the difference between the two?

Relation to hormones etc is because it is those hormones that determine your maintenance body fat percentage. You can lose weight after a bulk and that caloric deficit may temporarily improve your hormones, but eventually you will have to maintain or just go on a forever bulkcut cycle where you are really just fat 90% of the year.

but I haven't told you the answers

              >So tell me, why are they "skinny fat" to begin with?
I literally told you in the quoted post dumbass,

You can be at the skinny fat bf% range without being skinny fat, by building muscle. As you said yourself you will go back to being skinny fat if you stop lifting, ie if you lose muscle mass.

but you won't ever be constantly lean and muscular.

This true for 99.9% of the population, it doesn't say anything. Being a skelly, skinny fat or fat is equally repulsive, only thing that can make it better is muscle, for as long as you maintain the habit of working out you enjoy the gains, once you stop you eventually go back to these states.

Everything I said flew right over your head. Why does there exist two people, both of which don't work out, and one that is skinny, and the other is skinny fat? Why would lifting weights change this? The skinny guy can also lift weights.

                Anonymous

Because the skinny guy is lower bf. If you have muscle mass there is no reason for anyone to call you skinny. As I said before, being skelly isn't any better than skinny fat.
Your argument is dumb because you think that skinny fat and skinny is the same person with different hormones, reality is they are different bf% with one thing in common, no muscle, which are both shit and the same state of not actively trying, which was your initial argument that skinny fat people have no reason to try hard their diet because when they stop they will return to skinny fat... no shit.

They are same people with different hormones otherwise one would be called "fat" not "skinny fat". Skinny fat implies that they don't eat much yet body is still holding on to fat, and that will never change.

If both skinny and skinny fat guys go on a bulk, then cut, then maintain for the rest of their lives after cut, the skinny guy will look good, and the previously skinny fat guy will still look fat because there was a reason he was skinny fat in the first place. If he doesn't change other things, he will still have issues, but yeah, he will also look a lot better with muscles so I am not saying it is pointless.

lift while you cut then lean bulk; CICO plus 0.7-0.8g protein/pound

Bulk then cut. Cutting is easier if you have muscle.
