If I up my fruit intake, could I really get diabetes?

If I up my fruit intake, could I really get diabetes? I know there's sugar in fruit, but doubt most people got diabetic/obese by eating too many kiwi fruits and blueberries. I reckon I could cut on this easily.

    According to google:

"Generally, eating fruit as part of a healthful diet should not increase the risk of diabetes. A diet that is high in sugar, refined carbohydrates, and saturated fats is likely to be more of a risk."

    Take it as you will

Fruits are FAR more better than veggticucks, use fruits as you should, energy and hell if you move a lot it could replace your carbs.
This ofc comes from the bias of a Peatard

I reversed my diabetes by eating a balanced diet which includes 3 to 5 pieces of fruit a day. Went from A1C of 6.4 to 5.8 in 3 months with ~30% of my daily caloric intake being from fruit . Your risk of diabetes is minimal if you eat well within your TDEE. I got the betus because I ate like a moron at 4-7k kcal a day despite a TDEE of 3.2k. The only risk I can see is fatty liver disease but that's above my pay grade to understand I get regular bloodwork.

his friend died of pancreatic cancer recently, he used to have a diet full of fatty red meat

This is the thing people don't want to admit. Type 2 is always, always without a single exception, caused by overeating. They come with some cope like randal cycle this or fatty liver that but the root of the problem is overeating and being a fatass.

The difference between fructose and refined sugars is that they are burned slower. Refined sugars will have you go up and crash in energy, and have you hungry within 5 minutes. Fruits satiate for longer and give more sustainable energy.
No, fruits will not give you diabetes. Garbage ass foods filled with artificial sugar will

You can't have too much fruit. You could have 100% of your diet fruit and not have too much fruit or sugar or anything else. You might lack protein, b12 and shit, but nothing to do with diabetes or sugar.

Fruits and fruit juices are lower GI than starch, any starch including the "complex" ones.

Not likely. Most fruit is so full of water and fiber that it drastically blunts the insulin response. Most fruit is pretty low on the glycemic index.

You get diabetes from a high sugar and high fat diet. Want to eat a lot of fruit? Eat less fat. Want to eat a lot of fat? Eat less fruit
