IF someone leaves shit on equipment they are not using I will remove it for them and use the equipment.

IF someone leaves shit on equipment they are not using I will remove it for them and use the equipment. Is this the correct method? Two guys doing different cable machines left their shit on a third machine. I moved the stuff and took the machine. The guy seemed pretty mad. Should I have bothered 'asking' him for permission?

If you did it to troll then it was the right move but if it was motivated by seethe then you need to go back.

The correct, nuanced take. If you aren't deliberately being a prick, then just ask if they are using it. If their answer is unreasonable, then you can assert yourself by claiming the equipment against their wishes.

I do this when I go and refill my water bottle
If I come back and you've taken my bench I will slam the barbell down on your throat

Depends on whether they left to go grab water or search halfway across the gym for clips (they're still using it) or whether they're running some homosexual circuit with multiple pieces of equipment reserved (they're homosexuals).

They were both doing other exercises away from the machine with free weights/another cable machine. They wanted to reserve it to use after I suppose. I'm under the strong opinion that you only take up the equipment you're using. A bunch of people seem to think they can take up 2 or more things.

Ya that's bullshit. Even supersets are sketchy at best in terms of "I'm using that". You did the right thing, you pay to be there just as much as they do. They can't reserve a piece of equipment for later.

It's only okay to superset if there are very few people in the gym. If it's normal crowds, you get the equipment you're on and nothing more

joking or not, knowing there's someone out there as moronic as this with such little restraint they'd risk getting assault charges is just sad.

you wouldn't ask your gf's dad permission before fricking her holes; why would you ask another guy to use a machine that isn't being used?

      >you wouldn't ask your gf's dad permission before fricking her holes
I would if I could. she shouldn't be able to have a say in such matters, her dad should

I had some homosexuals pull something like this back when I lived in Austin. 6 PM, gym is packed. See a bench and hop on. Some dude walks over from the cable machines and says they were using it. Looked at him and said it’s busy so let’s just work in together, dude shook his head and walked away. Frick LA Fitness in Austin.

It's annoying when people occupy 2+ machines at once, especially if it's something in high demand like a bench press or squat rack. I'll just ask to work in, but I have seen arguments break out over this shit.

Depends on how much more you lift than them. If they are dyels, then yea feel free to move their shit

Unironically this. If you're gonna move someone's shit you better be stronger than them.
