Why do you care about the running anyway? Just focus on diet and cut the weight, excess exercise is questionable when you are eating at a deficit anyway which I assume would be your strategy though there is others

then you should be able to run 10k in less than a month

With that physique you could get to that point no problem in 3 months, but you've gotta push hard

i dont think i can do 5k, not even physically but i dont think i could bring myself to mentally bear it
how many times a week should i run

Okay okay I'll be less of a dick and try to help. Roon every other day. Use the talk text to stay within a target heart range that is a sentence or two to a few words. I'd recommend intervals of walking and light jogging until you can comfortably run for at least a mile. You can increase to every day eventually if you really want to but it's not necessary. Don't neglect strength training. Forget your timeline and just start moving forward. Couch to 5k app works fine honestly until you can run for 20 minutes comfortably or so. good luck fat boi

You shouldn't run a lot as a fat frick you're gonna nuke your knees and stop doing it.

Substitute obviously dogshit food and behaviour with less shitty ones. Start lifting 3 times per week and do a bit of incline walking in addition to your regular walks (not too much cause it's boring)
Measure key metrics, weight weekly, calories for your go to food
As you get into lifting and it becomes routine, fricking up and binge eating/drinking will be less tempting because it's sabotaging your lifting efforts. This will take months of going 2-3 times per week with varying motivation.
Maybe take 2 45 minute walks instead of one with a podcast in your ears, 3 is better. Look for easy wins, diet monster instead of regular, less oil on food you're already eating, temptation removed from sight/house

I know this advice is too sane and you're just gonna try to run because it's easier than overhauling your entire life to not be a fat frick. I'm writing this because I'm on a toilet.

      read the thread bro

when i say fat i mean a bit less than that and i'm young
      not like american level fat

i am 6'2-6'3 and weigh 88-92kg and i have some amount of muscle
i used to fast a couple of years ago and it worked great
i don't want to lose weight, i want to be able to run 10k and have a healthy heart, i will attempt to make a lifting routine too (2-3 times a week) but that's besides the point

Okay okay I'll be less of a dick and try to help. Roon every other day. Use the talk text to stay within a target heart range that is a sentence or two to a few words. >Use the talk text to stay within a target heart range?
      what's talk text?
      >Couch to 5k app works fine honestly until you can run for 20 minutes comfortably or so.
i'll look it up but i think i should get to 5k pretty fast but going from 5k to 10k is going to be challenging and i dont know what progression should i go for

Why do you care about the running anyway? Just focus on diet and cut the weight, excess exercise is questionable when you are eating at a deficit anyway which I assume would be your strategy though there is others

10k is such a pathetic goal it's pretty sad to not even be able to do that and it's kind of arbitrary in general but i guess i have some general health and mental problem that i hope would get a bit better and i definitely want to prevent them from getting worse
also i run out of breath and sweat A LOT and i hope that improving my bloodflow is going to help with this
like, running is such a fundamental thing for humans that it feels wrong to not be able to do the bare minimum

Just buy a pair of good running shoes for fatties. Trust me, if you buy any pair of shoes you are going to demolish your knees/ankles. I started when I weighted a lot more with a pair of cheap ones and I came back from a run with swollen ankles. Make an investment and start slowly.

Just 10 minutes jogging is enough to start, a couple of times a week. Let your body get used to it. Start lifting and don't negate squats, they will boost your endurance by a lot. If you stay consistent you'll pass the first phase, where everything hurts, and suddenly you'll be able to run those 10 minutes like it was nothing. So go for 20. Just don't expect to progress too fast, just be consistent.

i'm not that fat but i do need a pair of shoes and i don't have a lot of money, these NB530-esque shoes look alright but i'm afraid they'd get rekt really fast since i'd be running on a trail
      >suddenly you'll be able to run those x minutes like it was nothing
so you're saying i should do x minutes of running and then walk to rest a bit and do it again?

    No

Actually you shouldn't be running at all if you're super fat, it will be very bad for your knees and ankles. Swim or cycle instead. Then run once you're at a healthy weight

Yes. Start by getting your powerlifting total up to 1k, you can run a slight cut in the meantime and start jogging.

    12 weeks?
Possible if you do a 6 week couch to 5K then immediately do a 6 week 5K to 10K program.
Expect to run a very slow 10K (~1:15)

If getting lean is what you want, get a treadmill and just walk on it for as long as you can every single day.

You don't even need to increase your heart rate much. Just walk on the treadmill 90 minutes a day minimum while watching a movie or whatever.

No. You do not have the mental fortitude and discipline and moral integrity.
    t. fatfrick (135kg) who uses his pc laying down on the bed for 16h/day after getting fired, runs 5k 3 days/week and goes to the gym 5 days/week with 1/2/3/5 for reps.

10k in 3 months? maybe but you gotta be balls to the walls puking your shit out and hating yourself since you won't be disciplined to go through with it. 5k is for sure achievable.
