I'm almost 28 and I'm making good progress in the gym after about 5 months. How do I cope with the fact that I never was in good shape in my early 20s? Has the Zyzz lifestyle passed me by already?

Just look forward and don't think about it, and learn from your demonic way

Technically males peak around your age so... you're in your prime make the most of it. I think men really slow down once they hit 40 so you still have time.

Well, I was very fit my whole 20s but never had any social interaction with a chick. When I turned 28 I had my first LTR. No Zyzzing around. Now I'm 36, still no interest in zyzzing. Still no interest in boring prostitutes. You only miss out if you feel like you really missed out. But did you really miss out on something, or was it that perhaps you weren't really just interested? Party lifestyle gets old really fast anyway.

How do you know if you’re missing out on if you’ve never had it?

By realizing that even if you didn’t start as early as you could have, you still pulled your head out of your ass and started at some point.
Vast majority of people never even start. Isn’t that crazy?

Thats what keeps me going. So many people are so content being fat and mediocre. Makes me fricking sick.

I know you just said you recognize this but I want to emphasize it.
      >Vast majority of people never even start. Isn’t that crazy?
This is true about a LOT of improvements in life. I had a really hard time in my 20s and I also improved myself a lot in that time period. It's not just fitness but mental health, relationship skills, sex, seeking the right career, properly planning in case you do live. Who you surround yourself with does color your perspective a lot which is why you want to diversify the friend/family group you have.
      >How do I cope with the fact that I never was in good shape in my early 20s?
By recognizing that this life does not exist, and imagining it is torturing yourself needlessly with a fantasy. You don't know if getting in shape somehow led to you getting hit by a car at 25 or some shit like that, life is vastly more complex than the simple depression logic of "oh coulda done it sooner". Additionally, most people don't have their shit together at this time. You made the choices you made and you cannot go back, you need to elevate your confidence in your past choices and recognize/resolve whatever conflict is causing this regret and incorporate that into your current daily life.

        >recognizing that this life does not exist
So true. Im the most conservative person out of everyone I know. And as a result ive lived such a calm and peaceful life and have not gone on as much adventures and taken as much risks as them. But there is so much less stress from things like: shit relationships, losing a lot of money on investments, getting stds, or literally just dying. I will always think about how exciting my life could have been but there's no point. Im sure some of them may be wishing they lead a more quiet life. You can only choose one.

Stress is an inevitable part of life and just because some things in life involve an element of risk does not mean you should avoid living. Everything you mentioned in terms of stress is temporary (beyond death obviously, that one is a bit shoehorned in there), and experiencing stuff like failure or stressful events makes you better at handling it in the future. You should live the life you want but I'm just pointing out your rationale here is definitely not correct, and sounds closer to justification for your avoidance. I've gotten both short and long term std's, and yeah it seems like the world is ending at first but you survive just like most things. I don't regret them either.
          >Im sure some of them may be wishing they lead a more quiet life. You can only choose one.
This is just flat out not true. We're here for a few decades, which...is a long time. You can absolutely do a mix or neither or live quiet for one period and fast/loud in another. None of these vanish (except maybe the less quiet life depending on how you define it with bodily aging, but that's like 50-70+) and you can always return to your preferred type. The caveat is that you get the best out of them when you're deeply engaged with them and it wastes time to spend a lot of time deciding between them on a surface level.

I had a chat with my coworker today. He is 28 and completely out of shape with no desire to get fit. He is a stoner who takes no personal responsibility for himself and only seeks short term indulgence. I'm 24 and I'm 9 months into my training. I used to feel like I've missed out on a lot of my youth because I was unfit, depressed and essentially a shut in from 19-23. Sure, covid was around for a little while but ultimately it is my fault and getting fit is also my fault. The fact is most people these days are like my coworker. They have zero ambition and chase short term pleasure through drugs, alcohol, food, games or social media. These people are no better than fat people. The thing is, by working out and eating healthy consistently on the scale of a year you are automatically elevated above 90% of the male population in the first world. If you post in /cbt/ you might get called small or told to work shoulders more but your body after a year of training is someone's goal physique that they will never, ever achieve because they never start. You are later than some, as am I, but much earlier than others and most never even begin the journey. It would have been better to get fit earlier, but you also know what it's like to be an untrained slob so you can use that to fuel you for the rest of your life. And don't worry, there are plenty of good girls out there. Don't listen to demoralization threads. At the end of the day plenty of girls in their early twenties like to date guys who are a few years older.

    >30
    >most physically fit I've been in life
    >already full beard thickening out like never before
    >cardio gains making my wiener bigger and harder
    >cooking better and more varied meals than ever
    >wife clearly more attracted to me physically and emotionally and is losing weight herself to keep up
    >borderline workaholic levels of household task accomplishment
    >spirals of self-loathing as recent as last summer now melting away into the past
    >actually feel comfortable in public
    And this September-->May I'm doing a 100% proper bulk/cut cycle. I haven't even begun to peak.

Look at this way, when you are 35yo and look fit as hell, don't you think you will thank yourself for starting at 28?

Either way it doesn't matter when you start, as long as you start also yes the party lifestyle is fun but homie you aint 60 lmao just live it up and stop giving a frick what people, you are barely 30 and can still get away with doing dumb shit.. Zyzz whole point was that you can get away with anything if you are a shredded sick c**t, that doesn't go away once you turn xx age you can be a sick kunt your whole life if you want to but your interests change etc.

Chestbrah and Jeff said still go to festivals and dance like morons because they just embrace their age instead of thinking too much about "you must be an adult do adult things!"

At age 18-25 most youngsters have insane metabolism and can eat/drink what they want

If you are 30+ and in good shape you will mog everyone in your office or whatever because at that age it's normal to have beer belly or being really unfit in general

So just think about mogging people in your age group instead, thats what keeps me going.. looking better than anyone else in the room. Also it's extremly satisfying knowing you look fit around your fat boss or whatever, they won't do shit lmao
