im fat am i supposed to lose weight before or after starting hrt Posted on February 1, 2023 by Anonymous im fat am i supposed to lose weight before or after starting hrt
start hrt asap it doesnt matter what your weight is
im trying to start asap, i have time to lose weight before that
why does it not matter
the idea is that if dysphoria is bad enough to consider hrt then going without it is going to do more long term damage than staying the same weight
what if the dysmorphia is worse
the dysmorphia can still be fixed if you dont lose weight immediately, but dysphoria is gonna get worse and worse the longer you wait to transition.
if you arent sure which is which, or which is worse, then its ultimately your decision if waiting is worth it
what if the dysphoria has been getting better and is non existent
then get off the chud/fag board and go to IST
but I'm a fag
are you not OP? because that would solve my confusion if so
i am not op
ok im retarded then nvm
maryland idk why you ask
all the other benefitts of hrt far far far faaaarrrrrr outweigh the benefits of male metabolism
Lose weight if you can
Start hrt as soon as possible
Do not do stupid eating disorder shit if you starve yourself before hrt and eat when you start it will still go to man fat areas
I'm literally doing stupid eating disorder shit why is it bad
I'm so fucking fat and disgusting I want to lose weight as fast as possible
unless you are 300kg, eating disorders are going to do more harm than good. the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn. building muscle while on estrogen is hard, but it develops in a more feminine structure, so even just a little bit of muscle will help and wont look too out of place. also you want to be as healthy as possible during the early stages, getting your macros in so that you develop well. diet/enviroment is more impactful in the early stages of development, what you do now will affect you going forward, if you fail to eat anything you will barely develop at all, you are literally attempting to initiate a second puberty afterall, your body is going to NEED more energy. this doesnt mean you bump your diet into a 2000 calorie surplus, but eating 500 calories per day (or whatever you are doing) is going to do you more harm.
also, working out helps reduce excess skin. if you just let your muscle and fat waste away, you are going to have tonnes of excess skin. working out doesn't *solve* excess skin issues, but it does alleviate it somewhat.
nta but have you considered that properly dieting is hard and skipping most of your meals is easy???
yes, doing less is always going to be easier than preparing meals, i cant top that level of apathy. that being said, you are significantly overrating the difficulty of preparing food.
i cook twice a week, once for dinner and once for breakfast. i spend maybe 3 hours in the kitchen during any given week at most, and can suppliment all my needs just making soups and rissotos, frittatas, maybe frying some lean meat in a pan, or pickling some onions (seriously, pickling takes like 2 minutes all you need is vinegar salt and sugar), and then for breakfast its literally just eggs, a slice of toast, and some guac i make at the start of the week.
i get it if you think cooking is overwhelming, but its really not that hard. at least its not difficult to the point where you should be avoiding it. well i guess if you live in an area where you literally cant get broccoli and rice then it might be difficult for you, but thats not a very high probability.
>unless you are 300kg, eating disorders are going to do more harm than good.
(nta) yeah thats close enough im sure its safe to starve
they prob meant lbs, 300lbs is mega fat as is 128kg
that would make more sense yeah
ngl the past 3 years have been shit for me, i went from 155lbs to 280 cause i was forced to move back with family and havent left my room in all that time (just ordering delivery)
i am gonna see about getting an induction burner or something to just cook veggies and rice and just eat once per day
no i meant 300kg, successful starvation diets have been conducted before but only on the truly, dysfunctional overweight. Angus Berbieri is the case study for this, 210kg i think, didnt eat anything except for some vitamin supliments, electrolytes and some yeast (i think in the form of beer but im probably mistaken on that). he was only able to do this until he got to around 90kg, and even then he basically had to go to the doctors every day to make sure he didn't kill himself. fucker only ended up living to 50 years old too, so while you may lose weight its will pretty evidently take a good portion of your life span along with the kilos.
also i was in a worse position than you years ago, i used to be 143kg. diet and exercise changed that to about 90 in a little over a year. not as fast as angus' starvation, but im pretty sure ill live longer than you if you attempt to starve yourself trying to lose a few inches.
>im pretty sure ill live longer than you
im a chud im probably going to die before i turn 40 anyway
same, im trans too, but i intend to hit 80. dunno if i actually will make it that far, but im going for it. there is no reason not to at least try, from my perspective anyway.
Anon listem to me;
this is how you work on yourself and lose weight
it's really not as hard as you may think
I've lost 40 pounds in the past 6 or so months
after, estrogen decreases appetite and forces female pattern fat distribution
You're not supposed to lose weight at all. You do if you want to be a thin woman or you don't if you're happy being a fat woman.
Start now fatty regardless of hrt
youre not supposed to start hrt at all
ok but cryolipolysis tho?
WHATEVER YOU DO. DO!!! NOT!!!! DEVELOP!!!! AN!!!! EATING!!!!! DISORDER!!!!!! it is not worth it. pls remember to meet your bodies needs every day and make sure youre getting enough vitamins and minerals if you have to fast to lose weight but only do that if you medically have to not just for cosmetic reasons !
