    I've thought about doing something similar and have been working on getting my body metabolically adapted to switch into a deep state of ketosis quickly.

    The idea would be bulking like 4-5 days (good excess calories and carbs) a week then fast 2, maybe 3 after and repeat. The body switching into ketosis quickly will burn all the fat gained from the bulk, while keeping the muscle.

    My hypothesis is this may be the best way to efficiently lean bulk.

          Except it doesn't consistently and is largely negated by the fact that the fasting will highly stimulate the sympathetic nervous and cause secretion of adrenaline and cortisol -- both of which frick up muscle repair when maintained at higher than baseline levels at lengths of time.
          Further, you're not allowing adaptation of your body to ketosis. People suffer for weeks and months on a keto diet as the brain and other systems attempt to become "fat adapted". Spiking your insulin repeatedly with your refeed days will make you never get to that point and will just make you waver between keto flu and feeling like bloated shit.

          I find long (multiple day) fasts to be way easier because the switch from fed to fasted state is the hardest. But once you're in ketosis, you can keep going without feeling hungry.

        i can get into a good state of ketosis in about 24 - 36 hours.

        In my hypothetical schedule, i would cut the carbs right before a huge workout on day 4, post workout no carbs - take berberine before bed to help dump glucose - start the 2/3 day fast with a good HIIT session. I am usually producing ketones by the evening of the first fasting day.

        Again i am have been doing this awhile.The more you switch into ketosis the faster you get into that state. Also ive noticed the more switching into ketosis ive done, the more ketones my body actually is producing.

          I feel completely lethargic during the switch. Once I'm in a fasted state I'm ok, but doing daily intermittent fasting for me is very tiring, even if I'm doing OMAD, I barely get into ketosis before my next meal.

      yeah this is a problem for me, my fat ass takes at least 3 days of eating zero carbs to start to turn to ketosis. and i am oversensitive to carbs since even my dental paste i thrown it off because is sweet and triggers my insulin.

      This won’t work. Lean bulk for at least 3 months at a time. Gain 1 lb a month, gain 3 lb in 3 months. Then fast for a week and repeat.

        If the calories are failed id be curious what 5 days bulking, 2 days fasting will look like in terms of scale weight, strength, energy, etc.

    Lmao what ? Just lose weight the normal way, calculate your TDEE and cut between 300-500 calories a day, that should equal to about a pound a week.
