Im order to lose weight I went from eating 3000+ calories to only 1200 calories a day

I’m 2 weeks in, 8 pounds down, but I’ve hit a wall. I have so little energy and my stomach is constantly rumbling. How long will it take for my body to adjust to this new caloric intake?

It doesn't 1200 is low even if you were a normal weighing person. If it's too much for you, then up your calories a bit. You'll make slower progress but you'll be mentally sane

Ah yes, the Minnesota Starvation experiment.

I wonder if you'll cut your fingers off to be excused from the diet like the other lab rats who counted 1,200 calories?

idk 1200kcal is not a lot form what i calculated my basal metabolism is about 1900 so i am trying to stay under 1600 for weight loss eat a lot of protein and lift also walk a lot. That helped me get form 98 to 92 in a month not a lot but also i gained some muscle two months ago a squated 20kg now it´s about 60kg. But my main goal is that I can bike a lot further.

1200 is stupid low even for an anorexic. Anything more than 500 below your maintenance will cause you problems long term.

Also it's about habits rather than strictness. You can have 1/7 days where it's a cheat day and you can eat what you like unless you're pigging out over like 4k calories. Keep to it anon and don't harm yourself with moron diets

The way you're doing it the moronic way of dieting.
You don't need cheat meals if you eat to satiety. Cut out all the vegetables, go carnivore.

        People can enjoy vegetables homosexual.

Make them tasty, and you have barely any calories. I only go 80% carbs and meat when I'm bulking.

My -500 is 1450ish but I eat 1000 to 1200 because i like to lose 1 to 2lbs a week. It's tough but I still lift pretty heavy for someone whose 158lbs. Goal is to get to 140 by april

It won't, idk what your stats are but tru for 1500-1800 a day instead, and whatever you do don't crash and binge, go up slowly

Thanks, I’m considering raising it to 1500 calories a day. It will suck not seeing progress appear so rapidly.

You should really raise it to 1500-1600 if you're 200+

No, really. Cutting calories doesn't work for me.
I did go down from 230 to 178 in 2016 and 215 to 165 in 2020 but can't remember how I did it now.

Most people who cutting calories doesn’t work for either are eating too much or are bad at tracking calories.

              Do this instead.
              >Daily lunch salad no dressing
              >no condiments allowed
              >no drinks allowed except milk
              >no refined sugar allowed
              >no refined fat allowed
              >eat some protein every day
              >don’t eat at night

              And see what happens.

it will never, you need to keep it up for up to two months with one cheat day per week at around maintenance. After the two months you will have lost 20 lbs or a little less, go back to eating normal for a month or two then start over until weight achieved.

Not necessary. 2000 calories and lift weights.

Same shit happened to me 1 week into 1000 calories. I took yesterday off. Are in a small deficit today. Tomorrow is back to 1000 calories.
If you 100% know you will not frick up and binge just take a day off. Eat the same stuff you’re eating but hit maintenance.
