I mean its 1 per kg, 1.5 per pound minimum and 1.5 per kg, 2 per pound for fit dudes, so a 80 kg guy (me) would require 120 grs if I am to continue lifting
I'm a fat fuck and started seeing a nutrionalist. She's telling me 30g a meal is our max and the rest will go straight to fat. Someone tell me she's wrong, brothers.
I keep hitting 30g way to easily and its nothing but broccoli after that.
To add to this. Most studies use whey protein, which is the simple sugar of protein. Whey is metabolised quickly, while meat is metabolised slowly. It probably makes a difference to bioavailability.
She's 100% wrong. As long as you don't go above your TDEE you won't put on fat. The fact that 67% of protein is lost to heat when converting to fat further cements the fact that protein won't make you fat. If she recommends canola oil, fire her.
if you are over 200lbs, height in CM, unless you are 6'2+
My "low" is 120, my "high" is 210, I just eat 150 to be safe and I like protein anyways
wrong, your body utilizes protein as energy like the rest, it does work on a frequency system for muscle gain, but don't worry about it yet, just stay to your calorie goal and eat whenever is best for you
(muh luecine threshold 0.25-0.33g/lb or someshit blah blah fucking blah eat 3-5 meals 3-5 hours apart study that was done on whey only so it probably doesnt mean shit anyways)
it was always 0.7-1g per kg of lean bodymass. at some point in the long game of broscience telephone, it turned into 1g per pound, which is a massive waste of money and hard on your liver.
In his encyclopedia bodybuilding Arnold says the rule is one gram per pound. He repeats this in other videos made much later in his life like within the last few years. As long as you're not going over total calories then eating more protein isn't a bad thing

For me its 1kg per kg
you don't need more than 80lb of protein a day. prove me wrong

How the fuck do these people get degrees, honestly.
You are literally peeing your money away because shes 100% wrong and thats not even outdated information, its just wrong.
the Carbon app is telling me to eat 152 g protein/day, and so im doing it. ive lost 9 pounds since Dec.
I've been thinking of cutting my protein down to 100g/day just to save myself money. I don't even want to get big anymore, just be normie lean and fit
Bench?

fuck you, fight me
I'm still gonna eat 1g/lb protein anyway.
I dont trust the studies/"experts"
If you’re eating protein heavy meals it’s probably good food. Obviously replacing carb filled junk food with meat, yogurt, nuts is good for you.
>yogurt, nuts
