I'm 6'2 with long legs, how come your squat is better than your bench (and mine) with code guess legs ? The longest the hardest it is to increase imo

In highschool they had us do bench, squat, and clean. And then some bullshit auxiliary stuff, I took pride in my squat and clean, so I that helped me in the mental game. In the extra part of the class, I just did leg shit 'cuz I'm intimidated easily and was warry to join jocks in anything they do, 'cuz despite my nice quads, my calves are only somewhat better than good, so I didn't wanna look like some weak dude impeding on their egotistical upper-arm territory. Combine this with incessant riding of my poorly maintained bike to and from the sonic I worked at 'cuz there was a hot red-headed girl that I probably could've made a move on but was too scared to do so, and you leave yourself with a man who's only chest & arm exercise has been around 10 sets of bench a week, and more recently, about 25 sets (real recently, recently enough to the point of only being allowed to post within the last year).

Wow bro, thanks for the answer, that was a long read haha,
It's based that they made you do lifting in HS, in Europe we only played moronic soccer and run when the teacher didn't want to work.
Redheads are hot, shame you didn't make a move, but I wish you more luck with the ladies next time
Solid legs is a great flex, wish you the best mate

forgot to talk about the other stuff you said. You having more on bench than squat is weird to me. for every 10 pounds I gain on bench, I gain 15-20 on squat. IDK how it's reversed for you.

Oh, just saw this post, sry I'm a mobilegay cuz omw back from the gym.
Well so guess it's just reversed, i just have to work harder on my squat, if you can do it with long legs i can't blame my long legs. I'll work harder

I got a hernia from me first serious deadlift. I was told at the time that "I'd feel it if it I actually got a hernia" but it's years later and the bumps of weird and obtuse flesh are still there, not visible, but I'm angry as hell for just being told that it didn't happen.

I've only watched lelouch of the rebellion. And I was only disappointed by how stupid lelouch was when he could've done so much other shit that didn't involve the thing he actually did.

I have pretty similar numbers to you

      130 bench
      150 squat
      200 DL
      75 OHP

I don't think it's such an abomination, my take is that upper body strength takes a bit longer to develop, so if you already have a basis when you start lifting (I used to do rock climbing and calisthenics) you're basically starting as an intermediate on bench but a newbie on squats and it takes a bit to catch up

what was your starting point in terms of general fitness?

I did calisthenics workouts (mostly pull ups and dips) on and off ever since I left high school (28 now). When I started off my bench was about 20kg over my back squat for a set of 5.

At the time that I started lifting, I had been rock climbing for a year before lockdowns started. I got really fricking fat during quarantine though which is why I looked into getting a home gym.
I already knew some basic stuff regarding strength training because I used to lurk IST way back in the day (during high school, so probably around 2010 to 2011) even though I just did bodyweight stuff for training back then.
