I want a sauna so bad bros, I’m sick of fat boomers rubbing their sagging balls and bare pancake asses all over the benches in the sauna at my gym.

i workout in sweatpants, a shirt, and sneakers.

can I just walk into the sauna after my workout or is there a proper ettiquete, like I need to go in there with swimtrunks/flipflops?

cause I don't want to go through the hassle of having the change my clothes/take off shoes every time I want to hit up the sauna

This is what has stopped me from checking it out. Worried about getting the etiquette wrong and getting reported to front desk

First, take a warm/hot shower with soap. Sit on a towel.

      >Finish workout
      >get in flip flops and towel
      >rinse off in shower
      >go in sauna
      It's that easy

Isnt gyn the place where only homosexuals go to tone their ass for their hairy boyfriends?

After workout just take a shower like a normal person, wrap a towel around ur waist and hit the sauna. Flip flops optional, nobody cares.

wtf, you guys are saying to shower BEFORE the sauna?
so I shower, then immediately sweat like crazy again in the sauna?

why not just change from workout clothes to swim attire/flipflops and then immediately go the sauna? and shower later?

At my gym, pretty much anything goes. Some people go in clothed, sneakers and all, others go in with just their underwear. I go in with shorts (sometimes underwear that looks like it could just be shorts) and flip flops because that's what a majority of people there seem to do.

You should avoid red cups in the sauna, unless you want sweat swiper drinking your sweat. Especially check under the wooden panelling. These thieves can be quite devious!

They’re ok. Some different benefits to hot rock, overall hot rock is probably better for most things especially stress, cardio benefits, deep heat, heat shock protein activation. IR you can probably still get some of the healing benefits but it’s not so extreme so doesn’t trigger as much biological mechanisms basically. You can read a bit more on this, there’s lots of research.
They just don’t get as hot. Plus side you can use electronics more easily in there. But I’ve found you need 20 minutes to even sweat properly, at least 30 minutes to really be getting somewhere, and 45 minutes to an hour to get a benefit. Hot rock you can get the benefits in 20 minutes. So I do that, especially post workout 20 minutes instead of 45 is a lot more convenient.
And if you’re worried about etiquette - shower first, and dry, it will feel better that way too. Wear swimming pants if it’s at the gym and unisex I guess.

Doesn't that shit show cumstains? I can't fricking go in one of those. At least you'd be able to see all the cumshots from gay sex on the seats.

That's UV and other body fluids show up too. If you brought a UV light into a sauna, it would glow everywhere because of all the sweat

i bought a sunstream mini for 2800 it goes to 65c, most i can handle is 55c for 15mins then i get out feeling like im dying. i lay on the floor and recover for 20mins after while i sweat my ass off..

people say they dont get as hot as regular sauna, and they dont.. but its a different type of hot. ive heard people say it heats you from the inside out like a microwave

Is it even really infrared if you can see visible light? It seems you could get the same effect bringing a flashlight with red glass over it into a regular sauna.

if it heats by visible red light heat lamps those are trash and arent real infared saunas. also any sold on wayfair shouldnt be bought. quality infared saunas are all over 2-3k

How long do you lads stay in the sauna for? I aim for 1 hour whenever I go, but take a few breaks. I'll do about 20-30 mins on the first stretch
