Is 315lbs OHP achievable natty?

Obviously JK simmons is not natty since he's an actor

But yes, the notion pressing 100kg is impossible without roids seems exaggerated.

its possible if you are a genetic freak, not possible for alot of people on roids anyway.

No. You'd need good genetics and even then you'd probably need to be atleast 240lbs bw

Disclaimer I’ve been training for 2 years and I can only do 145x5, cleanly: I feel like anything beyond 185-225 for clean reps (not push press, full rom) is unlikely natty

      Anonymous

315 is very reasonable natty especially if you're willing to bloat. I did a strict 290 log press just the other day.

      >I feel like anything beyond 185-225 for clean reps (not push press, full rom) is unlikely natty
there are plenty of natties on IST who can rep 225

        Anonymous

Yes, 315 is very reasonable. If we take a look at symmetric strength, for a 245lbs dude, which is also very reasonable and very average, 315 only nets him a world class ranking.

midgets are disadvantaged in lifts that care care about grip due to their smaller hands. You'll never find a midget ohping 1pl8 because of this

Proper form also involves moving your head out of the way of the bar, which is what he's doing, lmao. If you never move your head and stay 100% vertical then your form will look like and be shit at the bottom

I hope you aren't implying he had to bend that much to get around his head. When he returns the weight to the bottom you can see just how little he actually needed to lean to clear his head before he turned the lift into something else.

The bar is barely clearing his head at the bottom, which he never goes further back than, what the fuck are you talking about.

Chase has done 405 with bending but he's just a freak

      Anonymous

Chase can probably do 315 just fine but the 405 press he does is fucky. What he's doing is heaving it up out of the bottom and dropping under it during the lean back, such that his arms are already mostly extended when he starts pushing again. This saves him from pressing it up for the full range of motion, which imo isn't the spirit of the lift.

Some men got to a 350 OHP natty. I think if you're an extreme genetic outlier, very tall, and very heavy (over 400 pounds), you can probably get 400-450 natty. Most men can get 220-270 imo (obviously with great dedication, bulks, smart work for 5-10 years)

The WR in the strict press is ~216kg set by roided strongman, you retard
I can see a 400 lbs bloatlord natty hit about 3pl8 strict

ok so it's 217 kg done by a 400+ lbs bloatlord on roids
3pl8 range is probably a valid natty limit if you dedicate everything to lifting weights, i.e. get fat as shit and die at 40

big z did 227kg on a log bar with leg drive. 400 lbs strict is possible natty for maybe 5 people alive today

Biby hit 260kg with his shitty leg drive, and i think 585lbs is somewhere iirc. 250kg isn't an unreasonable number if he tried to chase only the strict press from the rack

                Anonymous

Biby is a fraud tbqh, prime Eddie was stronger
and no, Biby's push press max is in the 260s, that does not translate anywhere close to 250 kg strict, 220kg max effort seems more likely

                Anonymous

prime hall was the strongest person to ever live. biby has still has the log and axle records, so he cant be a fraud. he has also done well in the single day comps he has done.
biby's push isnt weightlifting tier good. he isn't getting 40kg out of it, especially with a floating rack push press. at most 15kg. 220 would be easy based on how easy his 217kg axle went up. remember that was after botching the 217kg clean twice already and barely getting it up his chest the tird time.
