A 300lbs guy benching 300lbs is as impressive as 100lb guy benching 100lbs.

          Not, and here is why:
          Powerlifting malta worlds 2023:
Benchpress: nº1 from -59kg category weight is 59kg and lifted 142kg, thats 2,4 his bodyweight In the +120kg category the nº1 weight is 181kg and lifted 250, thats 1,38 his bodyweight.
          You get it now?

One can lift 300lbs, the other can't. The winner is quite clear.

Intermediate would be 135lb at the lowest end. Advanced would be your own bodyweight for 5 reps.

That's pretty good. Right at the beginning of intermediate level. Once you hit bodyweight you're very firmly in intermediate and quickly approaching advanced. If you can surpass 150% eventually that's your elite number

Jesus Christ, intermediate is reaching LMAO1PL8 (60 Kg), from then onward is jut how far you wanna go.
Of course people here achieve this after just two weeks of doing brosplit and eating like shit.

If I put on a backpack with 60 lbs of weight I should be able to magically lift more than I do without it according to this board.

Please draw a diagram of the system of forces expelled during a lift with and without a 60 lbs backpack and explain how it is different from 60lbs of BW in relation to Newton's physics

          Anonymous

Im not that anon but it’s not just pure physics, I think it also has to do with the nervous system, it would probably inhibit your contractions even further if you had the back pack on, that said if you lean back as you lift up it might also be of some help if it doesn’t outright make you fall backwards.

The simple difference, moron, is that the 60lbs of weight are not a part of your own mass. When you squat with an extra 60lbs of body weight, some of that weight will be in your legs, back, glutes, etc. Meaning the actual mass of those body parts/muscles that moves the weight is greater whereas 60lbs in a backpack does not contribute anything to the mass and ensuing momentum of those specific body parts.
Same thing for bench press or OHP. Your arms will contain more mass at a higher bodyweight therefore you will be able to move more weight.
That's on top of your body being more efficient at moving greater mass if you weigh more. A 300lb guy will have much stronger legs, glutes and calves than a 150lbs guy (in absolute terms, not relative ones).
If you are talking about extremely simple movements like running then yes the force produced will barely change whether the weight is in a backpack or spread out over your body. Same thing for something like a pull-up
TLDR you are a moron and should post body

100% noob, 135 is bare minimum for reps that not be a scrub no matter your bw

Depends on your technique. If you're doing them as a standing push press that's not very impressive unless you're very light. I weigh 190lbs and I'm repping 110lbs on the seated behind the neck press, 3 sets of 8-10 at the moment.

Not OP but I used to love OHP until I got clicking in my right shoulder and its alot weaker compared to my left now (although the left side of my body is def stronger than the right). Im too young and weights were too light to be a rotator cuff. Anyone deal with this?

you are not too young and the weights are not too light for it to be a rotator cuff. stop self diagnosing when you are clueless moron
