>going to the gym for a month without skipping a session/breaking your schedule >1pl8 on any of the big three with good form >bodyweight on any of the big three with good form >1/2/3/4
After that the goals become much more nebulous and self-defined as you become aware of the aspects of fitness that appeal to you and you start to chart your own course.
If you weigh less than what I can overhead press you are either a woman or a child and I am going to lift you over my head and say "goo goo gaga" in your face
For me (relatively new) it is, I don't follow 1/2/3/4 but instead i set my goals at: OHP 1/2 of BW, BP your BW, squat 3/2 of your BW, DL 2 times your BW.
ATM I've managed to do both mine 1 and 2 for reps and even added weight, I should change this system soon
First gym milestone is when you look at yourself and think that you look kinda okay. Powershitters can suck my dick. I looked better as a 17 year old after a year of brosplitting and eating clean then these fat/skinny fat/built fat fucks ever will. Unless you're into competing at meets and shit, then I respect your goals, but most people never do compete, yet choose to chase numbers while not looking at the mirror/scale.
>bodyweight
You'll never make it if you purposefully choose metrics that change from person to person so that they're easier for you rather than raw uncaring numbers. Especially this one, you're resigning yourself to ALWAYS being mogged by ants.
For me it was deadlifting my body weight
First milestone is actually getting your fat ass to the gym.
I managed to do 2 reps on 60 kg bench while weighing 62, so I don't know if it's impressive but it's a nice milestone for me.
Bro, the war is over, they liberated your camp decades ago.
My metabolism is really good and I don't eat like a pig, so I stay at those weights. But I still try, a year ago I was at 57.
Your metabolism isn't good, you're actually displaying symptoms of having metabolic syndrome.
Care to elaborate?
no
Same but 80kg bench
I ran a sub 20 5k on the mill before I did any freeweights kek

You shouldn't weight more than 185 pounds unless you're really tall, anything else is fat fuck cope
t. woman or fag
>fat

Yes
t. 400 pound man chasing a 400 pound bench press
For me it was my first handstand pushup
If you weight 180lbs+ yeah, it not no
>If you weight 180
I don't see why that makes any difference but I can do that
Benching 135 at 135 bodyweight is not impressive, as a male
>Benching 135 at 135 bodyweight is not impressive, as a male
Explain why

i played lots of sport before hitting the gym. i was able to bench my bodyweight on my first try (200lbs).

I compete with myself from yesterday
>bodyweight

Bodyweight basis is the most realistic metric for personal strength level and progress, its different when comparing with others.
It should be 10 pull ups or 20 chin ups, BW bench press should be second.
If you're sub 1/2/3/4 is it a bad idea to train the same muscle every single day? It's not like the weight lifted is even that heavy to begin with
If it is, then 3pl8 is quite a ways away for me.
Not really, 3pl8 can be meme arc backed easilly by wimpy DYELs... Not that its a good form to do so.
bench isnt a fitness milestone as pecs are useless muscles functionally speaking and pectoral hypertrophy has no functional use
Is benching your weight is the same as able to dip properly?
