Based. I haven't drank mate for years now (accidentally dropped my bombilla in the garbage disposal and never bothered buying a new one). Such a great beverage though. I really should start drinking it again.

You realize that you don't have to put sugar in your coffee either?

I think the harsh coffee effects are the inflammatory anti nutrients that coffee has. Tea is definitely less harsh than coffee to the stomach.

o shit really. Wat do to combat this?

      Drink water.

That's the first time I've heard that claim. Tell me more.

        Not for me.

It can increase kidney stones so if you like passing rocks through your urethra then by all means, carry on.

Don't drink to much black tea is good way to avoid.

Is it the same risk of kidney stones with green tea as well?

No green tea is superior, doesn't have the oxalate

If you routinely eat grapefruit it's almost impossible for you to get kidney stones no matter what else you do.

sometimes I drink like 8 cups of black tea without much water and like the tannins or something makes the tip of my dick burn like a motherfricker while pissing. Drinking some water or putting cream/milk in the tea seems to make it go away

      Anonymous

This. You don't EVER want a kidney stone. I had small ones and when I passed it, it feels like someone wound all the way up and shit whipped your wiener with a wire coat hanger. I know it was oxalates from my diet becasue I cut out
      >tea
      >beets
      >almonds and peanuts
      >white beans
      >chocolate
the only high oxalate foods I ate. The stones haven't returned.
If you REALLY can't do without high oxalate foods, consume calcium with it. They say that makes the oxalate combine with calcium while its still in your GI tract, rather than passing into your bloodstream and binding with calcium in your blood.

Because it's harsh bro. Rough on the stomach, the GI, teeth, tongue. I need a gentle caressing liquid to run down the back of my throat.

I've switched to caffeine pills from energy drinks/coffee/tea. Huge improvement. It's:
    >Cheaper
    >Lower effort
    >Accurate dosing (50mg capsules)
    >Quicker to consume
    >No dirty dishes

I work up to 400mg doses then do a two week reset and start at 50mg again. I'm only off caffeine 6weeks a year and it's always otherwise effective.

Nvm, it's 7c for 200mg. Nitricost 100mg capsules on Amazon. The 50s I was using are higher cost.

No jitters? Caffeine pills used to make me feel like total shit. Jittery, uncomfortable, anxious. But in drinks it's fine

                Anonymous

You should take it with some calories to limit jitters. Also, just take enough to wake you up and not more. Pills hit harder than drinks.

There's a powder in the capsules if you open them. I caution against buying caffeine powder. It's easy to use way too much.

anyone else unable to drink tea on an empty stomach? I can drink coffee all day no problem but tea, specifically green tea, will frick me up and make me incredibly nauseous and want to throw up. I've heard it's because of the tannin content but coffee has tannins too so idk.
