I think the poster you're responding to (and others confused by your claim) don't realize you mean, specifically, "you can't bulk on red meat." I think they're thinking you mean "you can't eat red meat while you bulk."

Obviously, you can eat steak with buttered potatoes and drink glasses of whole milk with that meal, but that's not "bulking on red meat," which, as you correctly say, won't work because red meat is too filling to bulk on. Anyone who disagrees is free to try to eat 1.5 pounds of ground beef in one sitting.

It’s very expensive and probably kind of boring. I find bulking is easier when I change up the food I’m eating otherwise I start to hate life. 6 eggs every day the same way with chicken rice and broccoli for lunch and chicken rice and some vegetable for dinner got boring really quickly, and I’m a pretty good cook. Now I mix up my meats and carb sources, and make a variety of different recipes and it makes bulking way more bearable.

What does this even mean? You have to season chicken (i.e. cook it with Hispanices or other things that flavor it) or it always tastes bad. You can eat an entire steak by itself with no Hispanices, no onion, no garlic, no pepper, and it will always be tasty.

This post must have been made by a vegan. At the very least, a pescatarian.

I highly recommend bulking on red meat. It tastes better than chicken does and has more calories. I ate ground beef every single day on my last bulk and gained 20 pounds in only three months with relatively little fat increase (8% to 12%). I didn’t experience any health problems despite eating 0.6 lbs of red meat six days a week. I’m honestly never going back to chicken. It’s too low in calories in the protein content is higher than necessary. You can easily hit your protein for the day with basically any kind of meat as long as you’re drinking one or two whey protein shakes. The true challenges of bulking, or just eating enough calories and enjoying doing so. Red me absolutely demolishes chicken in both of those categories. I’m preparing my next book and I’ve got about 16 lbs of ground bison in my freezer ready to go.
    TLDR: fuck chicken.

The Costco hotdog DOES have 24 grams of protein though. It also costs $1.50, believe it or not. Meaning that $3.00 + tax is the price for 48 grams of protein, as I said before.

They're losing money on it for sure. In fact, the hot dogs are physically larger than they were when Costco debuted them in (I think) the 80s. The founder of Costco still sits on the board / is the board president or something like that, and Costco execs were recently trying to raise the price. He famously said "If you raise the price of the hotdog, I will kill you. Figure it out."

Steak has too much fat per gram of protein to be your primary bulking choice. A steak here or there is fine but youd need to go with lean ground beef or something like pork tenderloin(is that red meat?).

I dont think you can really beat chicken breast. You should switch it up sometimes to get iron and whatever but its just too good as a protein staple

      Anonymous

      >there's only one kind of steak
moron, there are versions of steak that will have as low as 1g fat per 20g protein, and some that will have pretty much equal fat and protein.
If you buy eye of round or lean grass-fed beef tenderloin, there's almost no fat to be found. Eye of round is dirt cheap, tenderloin is not, but you have options on both ends of the cost spectrum.

    OP

Bulk on meat with some carbs and fats on the side, but little.

All other posts going against you are blackpilled losers. This is literally one of the best ways to leanbulk while maximalizing nutrients, nothing comes close to red meat. Add some liver/heart as well.

Just don't purely bulk on meat, some fats and some carbs will help. Just not much.

      >bulk on meat with fats on the side
      What?
      >one of the best ways to leanbulk while maximalizing nutrients
Foods with more nutrients are more satiating and harder to overeat. This is scientifically proven and also proven with common sense. That is the whole point of this discussion. I don't think you have ever actually tried to bulk on ground beef, liver and heart with "some carbs and fat on the side."

        >Foods with more nutrients are more satiating and harder to overeat.
Vince Gironda diet, the diet all cutting bodybuilders used in the golden era.

The only difference you would make in a bulk is more carbs and maybe more fats depending on how lean the meat is. You need fats for optimal hormone production but not much.

But bulking on meat is very possible if you simply add a little bit more carbs and fat if you need it. Satiating aside, it depends on how much your willing to force yourself to eat, and how often you can eat. Bodybuilders regularly eat 500grams to 1kg of meat a day alongside rice and veggies.

          Anonymous

I really don't care about mentally ill bodybuilders. I am pointing out that it is harder to overeat foods with more nutrients (a fact). By extension, it is harder to bulk on red meat than, say, nutrient-void chicken or pork. Rice is void of nutrients, and that's why it's easy to bulk with rice. Vegetables are a useless food group with hardly any calories or micronutrients.
