Not really. Dirty vs clean is mostly a matter of being a moron with your surplus vs staying at maintenance+500 calories. Don't let roided influencers pretending their lean mass only bulks are due to weighing out broccoli and chicken on a scale. When you go into surplus and lift, you will gain muscle but also fat no matter how "clean" your diet

so if i don't gain weight on the scale, im not gaining mass then?

      You're wrong.

Yes, eating clean and optimal will make a difference in your composition and how you look.

If you think eating 2000 calories in candy bars will make you look good, you're wrong.

Eating clean is intuitive. Eat quality and you will look like quality.

    lean bulk
    >effectively wastes his time in the gym missing macros
    >less energy for workout missing gains further
    >Has to autistically track every minute detail of all the shit he eats
    dirty bulk
    >may have 2-3% extra body fat
    >has to spend more money on food

First he said clean, not lean. Second if he is bulking/gaining weight/eating at a calorie surplus, you're moronic. Missing macros, lol.

Clean just refers to the type of food being eaten. Whole foods like chicken, beans, etc, food that is considered 'healthy', as opposed to dirty 'shovel whatever shit you can in your mouth'.
If you're over 18% it's time to cut. Necer let your body accumulate too much fat.
If you still want to bulk you need to eat more.
    moron.

      >If you're over 18% it's time to cut
Disagree, depends entirely on how your body holds the fat, lean mass in total and goals.
      >16%
it's not a cope, just more effective especially for newer lifters who can still make rapid gains

18% is too fat to bulk

You should aim for 1lb a week on a bulk, you TDEE became higher as you gained more weight
