          no.
the truth is, good diet drinks are an actual diet hack. but no one drinks them because fatties will still say "I'm not putting this in my body", "it's all chemicals", "they said on the news that artificial sweeteners cause cancer", and so on. morons lump all "artificial sweeteners" together, declare them black magic, then continue chugging corn syrup water and eating junk.

it's frustrating trying to explain to people that diet soda is literally just water with bubbles.

I've been pretty much exclusively drinking diet soda (as well as water and black coffee/plain teas) for like a decade now and I still feel very iffy and unsure while sipping on one
I cant put it past my mind that "this is bad for me" while drinking one and every sip comes with a feeling of guilt

Yes. You take the easier path by drinking sweetener zero sugar goyfluid & get pancreatic cancer.

Artificial sweeteners (besides Stevia and Maltodextrin) still stimulate insulin which increases your carb storage and decreases protein storage. Don’t drink it. If you’re addicted to soda, don’t drink it with meals. Then stop drinking it.

Diet sodas are very acidic and can cause enamel erosion. You shouldn't drink more than a couple of cans a week.

Bacteria that feed on carb residue in your mouth are the #1 cause of your teeth getting fricked. If you wash your teeth 2 times a day it's a non-issue.

          >However, the results of the lowdose aspartame did not significantly differ from the control group's results and did not show any damages observed in the two other groups.
They gave mice huge amounts of aspartame, even low dose was over 40mg/kg of bodyweight. One can of diet soda has about 70-140mg. To even reach their "low dose", you'd need to consume 20-40 cans a day if you weigh 70kg/140lb, and do it daily for a prolonged time. And the low dose, while it did produce some results, only had very moderate effects overall.
It's definitely concerning in huge doses though, which they did show, but for this you'd need at least 40-80 cans a day. I used to binge on this stuff and I never went over 12 at most. I was more concerned with the amount of liquid that I drank than aspartame.
Still I'll admit some of that stuff sounds concerning, and if there was a proven risk at even 10 cans a day, I'd avoid it and change my opinion. but at such concentrations you could make a lot of "safe" things toxic, from caffeine to magnesium.

Also, to add, the study suggests that the effect is due to metabolism if this stuff, that produces methanol. So basically, the adverse effects stem from it. And some amounts of methanol are contained in fruits, vegetables and juices too, although in smaller amounts.

Jesus Christ it’s not hard to realize you shouldn’t eat anything artificial you fricking morons.
        >muh study
Shut the frick up. You have to be 18 to post here you massive homosexual. Do you need a study to tell you to wipe the shit from your ass? Is that why you’re such an insufferable Black person, you have dried shit on your ass?
Take note bros. This is why I stopped taking söyence cultists seriously years ago. This is the usual interaction. You make an OBVIOUS claim, that everybody with half a working brain should innately know is true. Enter midwit, bell curve gay b***h, fresh out of class and weaker than his mom.
        >study??
        >studdy!?
        >source..?
        >source study sourrce!
They never want an actual source, as evidenced above. “Muh study source trustworthy source study” is little more than a hoop this massive insecure homosexual wants to put in your way and hope you don’t go through the effort of jumping through, so he can pat himself on the back and congratulate himself for a hard day’s work. “Debunked yet again, pseudoscience.” If by chance you dance and prance like a good little monkey for this sòybean junkie, you’ll see that it doesn’t matter. It’s a facade. You spent your time in good faith trying to convince a brother on his own terms and you find that those terms don’t actually matter to him. If you could know his post history, you’d find he doesn’t ask for sources or studies or le scientism gospel when the topic is something he WANTS to be true.
Medical studies are conducted with animals whose relevant bodily functions are comparable to a human’s. This is a well known fact. This is obvious to everybody who actually knows the use and limits of Muh Study. The fact of the matter is that if you just don’t want something to be true, you throw this hurdle in front of what you know in your heart makes sense, because it’s inconvenient for you, and if they leap it, well, “I’m not a mouse.”

Honest I can attribute 50% of my fat loss to diet soda because i replaced all cravings for candy with them.
But as soon as I reach my goal weight I will cut them out my diet.

Like 0kcal soda has existed for a long time but these last months everyone is chugging tons of soda on /fit to get shredded.
I mean its literally unreal, you feel like you are chugging syrup like some kind of obese yet at the end of the week your week keeps dropping like a fricking stone.
Its so easy to do ridiculous calorie deficits when you drink a lot of soda.

Yeah but you should stop as soon as you reached your goal weight because you can addicted to it since it not only tastes good but it also binds the feeling of losing weight with the mechanic of drinking diet soda-

        >because you can addicted to it
This is 1 of the main reasons you need to be careful, but also has a lot to do with what brand you buy
Most big names like diet Coke/Pepsi/Dr.P/MtnDew all have caffeine + phenylalanine, which converts to tyrosine, which converts to dopamine, it's a lowkey stimulant wienertail, which is moderation is still fine, but when you're chugging 4-6 cans of diet soda with both caff / pheny in it, it's fricking with your dependence and you'll physically/mentally feel a bit different if you just cold turkey them
There's some brands like shasta rootbeer/cream soda that are caffeine free and don't use the pheny, but they still use another artificial sweetener which is probably having some effect on your mind. I think these sweeteners on average are like 50x to 250x *sweeter* than actual sugar, whatever that means

I drink diet soda purely for the lack of calories, but I still think most of them taste very bad. The only good diet soda i've found is coke zero (bottle version only).

If i'm at mcdonalds or something, I'll fill up my cup with half diet and half regular for fun. I don't think the whole drink because I would feel guilty.
