    You may just have very quad-dominant squat form. Squats are more quad than glute, anyway. Do RDLs.

      Right now I'm doing jogging, stairs and punching my punching bag. I'd like to work a routine for my glutes into that, any suggestions beyond Romanian dead lifts?

        You don't need a glute routine, just add more glute work to your leg routine. Squats and RDLs should cover you completely, you can add glute ham raises if your gym has one.

            Yeah those should cover you. If you bend your knees slightly, RDLs will really feel like they're ripping your glutes apart. I stopped doing hip thrusts entirely and never recommend them anymore because RDLs are so much better.

          I did some glute bridges and RDL's today and while I didn't feel it in my glutes my hamstrings are destroyed so it's obviously an area I've been neglecting. Thanks for the recommendation.

        good mornings are a good way to actually learn how to activate glutes. for me, I can't really feel my glutes burning during exercise because my quads take over when they start to fail, but if you focus on the movement then you will know based on how difficult the movement gets.

    Not sure how it hasnt been recommended already but alongside RDLs as posted I'd really recommend swapping squats for (bulgarian) split squats. Those 2 exercises grew my glutes like crazy.

    Yes its genetic, I've always had a big ass but if you want to build glutes I recommend ATG squats 8-10 reps, split squats, hip thrusts. Maybe look up a women's routine

    Glute size is mostly genetic. You don't get a bigger butt by exercising, it just gets firmer.
