    You need to get your heart rate above 120 and keep it there for an hour, three-four times a week.

    Lifting weights does not count as cardio

      It's the best form of cardio. It's much better when there are ups and downs in the range of 100-160 than your pathetic 120 all the time.

        P.s.: i don't do any other cardio than walking a lot or hiking. Rest pulse is 55. I run circles in the gym.

      My heart rate stays around 130 when im resting inbetween sets, and like 160-180 during a set

    Yes. Do it every day + fasting if you are overweight. Get a cheap smartwatch so you can track your walks. Tracking makes sure you do it everyday. If you really don't feel like doing 3k walk on a certain day, at least try to get a one km in walk and don't feel pressured to make up for that short walk the following days. What's important is the habit. After 6 months you will feel better and be able to do more, heart rate should improve.

    No you need more than that. Couch to 5k lowered my resting heart rate from 120bpm to 80bpm in three weeks. Currently 65bpm resting but I stopped tracking my pulse for some reason so idk when it reached the 60s.
    That's ~3km 3 times a week midway through the programme.
    By the end of the programme you're capable of doing 5km 3 times a week but it's genuinely piss easy and you'll wonder why you ever found it difficult.
    Currently I do cardio twice a week, 5k on Tuesday, 12-3-30 on Thursday (treadmill set to 12 degrees incline, 3mph, walk for 30 mins and gradually increase weight in backpacks), plus a 12 minute jog on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to warm up before lifting.

    Have 40ish BPM at rest. Cardio x3 for me but any sort of elevated heartrate will do.

        3x hour cardio(one 155 bpm average, 2 medium/light) 3x weightlifting plus high walking job. And this is a huge one. 15%ish bodyfat. When I have fatty hamburger or something it drops to like 35bpm lol

    I dunno man walking about 3 miles a day helped with my weight loss. Can't say it helped with resting heart rate but it takes alot more movement to get north of 120 nowadays.

    A fast paced walk can be a good source of cardio. Just keep up a pace and make sure your heart rate is elevated. This really only applies if you're a fat frick. If you're a twig and even a fast walk isn't doing it than frickin run.

    I've had a rhr at 80 or higher no matter what
    Even 30+ miles/wk running it never drops
    Tbh it's not worth worrying about, you know your fitness like if going up stairs gasses you then you're tracking you're unfit
